I'm 167 3.8 and got 45k to vandy and 0 to Texas, even after sending a negotiation e-mail. Very disappointing, but perhaps you will fare better.

Thanks, I hope so. If Texas offers me less than Vandy, I'll go to Vandy (I don't really see myself working in Texas), but if they equal Vandy's money, it's gonna be tough.

So I just got the phone call today, IN at Texas for c/o 2013! This really stirs things up, considering I was dead sure about Vandy up until I got the call.

As a 168/3.75 OOS, and this late in the game, can I expect any money at all from Texas? Thanks for all your help.

When did you apply?

I am assuming you are OOS. I am too with solid accept numbers, but I am still complete because I applied after the new year and am OOS. (or they just don't like me)

Have you guys followed up yet? SG, with your options I doubt you're seriously considering Texas, but if you are write them and tell them. I did (similar numbers, also OOS) and got admitted the next day. You should be looking at some big scholarship numbers, too.

They are still under consideration for me, as I'd love to live in Austin, and I'd love to work in TX. That being said, I probably won't get enough scholarship money from them.

So, I halfway want to see how long they take, and halfway want to just find out. I know that doesn't make any sense, but I guess having the options I have, I'm less nervous about waiting on UT.

yeah i just got it and i was about to email them yesterday evening inquiring when we had to act on our aid.

here is the text of the email for those who may have not recieved it:

You recently received a Financial Aid Notification that indicated an
upcoming April deadline for you to accept, reduce or decline the financial
assistance UT has been able to offer you. We would like to inform you that
you do not need to take action on your Financial Aid Notification prior
to May 1, 2010. We apologize for any confusion we may have caused you.

If you have already submitted your financial aid notification, but now wish
to inquire about adjustments or changes, please contact the Office of
Student Financial Services directly at (512)475-6282.

from my understanding the $200 deposit is still due April 15th. this is separate.
