Alright, so whenever I try to click the "mail and money" button on the AS site, it kicks me back to the login page, does this happen to anybody else?

I figured as much, gee, they're going to a lot of lengths to string me along.puppins wrote:this is code for j/k we're not actually admitting you.Helmholtz wrote:Alright, so whenever I try to click the "mail and money" button on the AS site, it kicks me back to the login page, does this happen to anybody else?

This happens to me too, Helm. I'm assuming it's because the office is closed / Dean Z said in the email that we wouldn't be getting any mail for over a week.Helmholtz wrote:I figured as much, gee, they're going to a lot of lengths to string me along.puppins wrote:this is code for j/k we're not actually admitting you.Helmholtz wrote:Alright, so whenever I try to click the "mail and money" button on the AS site, it kicks me back to the login page, does this happen to anybody else?

Hi everyone! Is 168/3.62 with decent softs hopeless for michigan? I went to undergrad there, got a triple major, and am in-state, if it makes a difference...
i just really love michigan and would seriously love to go to law there...what do you think?

I'd say it's 50/50, maybe 60/40 odds that you'll get in.goblue1646 wrote:Hi everyone! Is 168/3.62 with decent softs hopeless for michigan? I went to undergrad there, got a triple major, and am in-state, if it makes a difference...![]()

I was recently admitted with 168/3.85, two degrees, decent softs, out-of-state. Hopeless? No.goblue1646 wrote:Hi everyone! Is 168/3.62 with decent softs hopeless for michigan? I went to undergrad there, got a triple major, and am in-state, if it makes a difference...![]()

Re: michigan 2010 applicants
Agreed. Definitely not a sure thing, but if I had to guess I'd say you've probably got a 50/50 shot. I got in this year with a 169/3.6ish, out of state, and decent softs. Are you applying this year or next? I really think an early application helped me out a lot so make sure you either get your app in asap or plan ahead to get it in early in the cycle next year. Either way, good luck!hopefulundergrad wrote:I'd say it's 50/50, maybe 60/40 odds that you'll get in.goblue1646 wrote:Hi everyone! Is 168/3.62 with decent softs hopeless for michigan? Re: michigan 2010 applicants
TBH, I think your numbers are hopeless for Michigan, regardless of any other non-URM factors. The reason is that Michigan's medians are 169/3.70, and last year's LSN applicants below both medians went something like 0 for 300. The fact that others got in with a 3.8+ or a 169 are irrelevant to your case, since they were at least median in one number.goblue1646 wrote:Hi everyone! I gave it a 50/50 because of the in-state residency and Michigan UG factors. 3 majors doesn't hurt either. WL'ed at worst, IMO. Feb retake could do wonders for goblue1646 though.im_blue wrote:TBH, I think your numbers are hopeless for Michigan, regardless of any other non-URM factors. Re: michigan 2010 applicants
Anyone else taking awhile to go complete? I submitted around a month ago and have yet to get the status checker email. The initial email claims it usually takes three weeks...trying to remain patient.

Re: michigan 2010 applicants
I'm in the same boat, submitted almost three weeks ago. I am sure they are swamped and plus it's the holidays so we should cut them some slack. I'm hopeful that we'll get those "complete" e-mails sometime in the first or second week of January and some acceptances shortly thereafter.LS18 wrote:Anyone else taking awhile to go complete? I still haven't submitted. I feel like an idiot. Maybe I can write a good why Mich and submit tomorrow before my flight.

It's ok. I submitted in mid-November and haven't heard a peep from Michigan. Their inefficient candidate registration system is catching up with them.LS18 wrote:Anyone else taking awhile to go complete? Re: michigan 2010 applicants
I read Mich's applications went up 37% this cycle....which probably explains the delay too. I heard from my friend that last year they were super fast, sent out status checkers within a day or two, etc.

Re: michigan 2010 applicants
It's actually around 20%. That will likely go down to about 10% by the time the cycle is over. But you're right, the surge in applications is likely slowing things down. Here's an article from Michigan:GeePee wrote:I read Mich's applications went up 37% this cycle....which probably explains the delay too. Re: michigan 2010 applicants
I'm applying this year...I waited because I retook in December (in BEIJING, which was honestly the worst test center EVER. Seriously. They changed the location the day before and put up a small discrete sign in CHINESE. Also cell phones went off like every three minutes. ugh.)
I'll get the application sent out in a few days.
I don't know how this is going to go at allllll!
But thanks for your encouragement everyone! From what I've read on the Michigan website, it seems really tough to get in with my numbers...and the "admissions up 35%!" thing freaks me out too. blah.
Congrats to everyone who's made it though, and good luck to all of us applying!
Hope to see you guys at Michigan.... I'll be working as a janitor.
