Supposedly WL/Rejections might start this Friday.Keilz wrote:i just want some movement. when do the holds come out?
I don't remember if I mentioned this, but another depressing fact is that for the 2011-2014 cycles, CLS took off only 3%-5% off the waitlist.

yeah last year it was friday of the first week of feb.Thelaw23 wrote:Supposedly WL/Rejections might start this Friday.Keilz wrote:i just want some movement. when do the holds come out?

but CLS also waitlists like EVERYONE so it makes sense that their WL yield is low. I'm still amazed at the sheer amount of WL they have....people not even in their ranges.

Not sure if this is the right thread to post - but I'm just curious if anyone knows if it's possible for Columbia to match a Ruby from UChicago? Just curious as I'd prefer NYC but don't want to pay $15k extra.

Does anyone have information on deferrals and scholarships at CLS? Is it possible to have scholarship money set aside for the year you defer until?

Re: Columbia c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
Columbia's 509s from past 3 years indicate no one getting more than full tuition. From Columbia's perspective, the overlap between Hammy/Ruby is small enough (and some might prefer Columbia by 15k per year or have parents covering living expenses or something) that they probably don't need to compete with the stipend.taxman14 wrote:Not sure if this is the right thread to post - but I'm just curious if anyone knows if it's possible for Columbia to match a Ruby from UChicago? My application was sitting at 'Completion Pending' for well over a month. Worried I forgot something, I emailed them yesterday. Today they respond: "Your application is now complete."
So.... my app has just been sitting somewhere, unnoticed? I can't imagine that bodes well for my chances.

They might have just been late to update the status checker. Wouldn't read into itGorillaWarfare wrote:My application was sitting at 'Completion Pending' for well over a month. Worried I forgot something, I emailed them yesterday. Today they respond: "Your application is now complete."

Just got an email that I was put on "reserve" until May? Is that the same as the waitlist??? Thanks.
Time stamp 3:50 pm EST (2 mins ago)
Exact wording: "We wish to inform you that, after careful deliberation, our Admissions Committee has
decided to postpone making a final decision on your candidacy, and we are placing your
application in our Reserve group."
