Nah, I think they feed more off the hopes and dreams of prospective 0L's. I'd contribute mine, but I lost them in the snow over the weekend.
To be safe we'll just use virgin 0L's then.
Are you happy Adcoms?!?

The June thread was awesome!
On an unrelated note I just got a Darrows plus stipend and now I don't know if I Harvard is my number one choice anymore even if I do get accepted.
Harvard with full need aid is still over 6 figures of debt right (I'll probably get full need aid if accepted)?
Is the jump from Michigan with Darrows on the resume to Harvard worth the debt?

My bad!
I'm just so excited and full of energy right now, I actually tripped over a desk on my way rushing out of class to answer the call as soon as I saw it was from Ann Arbor.
Just venting right now!

Congrats!! That's so awesome!

I totally know what you mean about the whole debt vs HLS thing. I got a Butler from Columbia. I personally think I'd end up choosing HLS if I was so fortunate as to get in. Or possibly Yale, also if I was fortunate enough to get in.
And just to throw it in there, I'm betting on more Js2's next week.

It's Tuesday and you're already giving up on this week? That's not the irrational optimism I've come to expect from this forum.

I find myself automatically thinking that as well, but as a varsity collegiate cross-country/track runner mine doesn't hold up very well.
I wonder what Hilde thinks I look like?
I always imagine her as being about six-feet tall, muscled like a rugby player, and carrying some sort of blunt weapon

Yeah, it always throws me off when I see your posts about running.
And I think of Hilde's old Xena picture.
And if anyone's curious, I am, in fact, a stretchy yellow dog.

That is exactly how I picture Hilde!
Maybe the fact that I'm actually a bowl of dessert explains why HLS is hesitant to accept me after an interview?

I really wish I looked even remotely like Jon Snow.

They might be worried about accidentally eating you.

Can confirm that I imagine you as a tasty dessert; hopefully we're not in the same 1L section because I don't want to be hungry during all of my classes (and then I might actually end up looking like Hurley)

Y'all are making me nostalgic for my old Xena tar. I think it's time for a change back.
Honestly, I think if y'all actually saw me, you wouldn't be hugely surprised. Though QC, I am most definitely not 6 feet tall. God decided that giving me height would have made me too powerful.

So you're not saying no to the blunt weapon?

I'm in the same boat as you. A tiny tiny tiny part of me hopes the decision is taken out of my hands via a rejection from H/Y
