I had my interview. I think it went well; the interviewer was probably the most affable person I could ever imagine working in a law school admissions office. We talked a lot about what I've been doing work-wise (I'm a few years out) and how I got interested in law. By the end, he'd made WUSTL sound like a really welcoming, fun place to get a law degree. Fingers crossed for acceptance.
Also, for anyone who applied before the holidays: my interviewer actually apologized that it had taken a few months before I heard anything. He said there was a huge number of apps that came in during January so don't lose hope.
don't worry I'll be 25 by the time we start school but I'll blend right in with the undergrads

I graduated when I was 19 so I'll actually be 23 going in! Props to the K-JD crowd because, in hindsight, I definitely would've been a wreck going through 1L at 20. I still have a total baby face, though - in the past year, I've had 3 separate airport security agents stop me to ask where my parent/guardian was because apparently I look "no older than 14."peachesthedoge wrote:valen wrote:Glad to see someone else a few years out of undergrad. Same here....I am so many years out of undergrad that my GPA did not matter any more, lol.

I'm sure you'll be fine! I'm just saying that, for me, I wouldn't have been ready. Working for 2.5 years really gave me perspective that I wouldn't have had otherwise.pcph wrote:Ack, I'm only 20 right now (21 in a couple weeks!)... I feel like I'm not too immature though...Hope I can handle it

This is credited. It's hard to believe how highly the general population here thinks of Wash U until you experience it. When scotti says we're effectively Harvard, he means, like, they literally think we are on par with Harvard.
I don't mean that as a slight at Wash U, but cmon
And as far as the age thing, I don't know how old some of you are, but I'm late 20's and a 1L. It's not a big deal at all. Lost of people here are in that 25-30 range.

Not that Wash U is a bad school, it's great. I just love the consensus of the StL population haha.

Soooo I believe you've said you're from Philly, I'm from Philly and you mentioned that liking St. Louis has to do with where you're from. So what am I not going to like about St. Louis? (Especially since Philly just seems to be getting better and better every year).scottidsntknow wrote:TLDR: I'm too pretentiousLawsRUs wrote:ew r we taking about law school exams already D;

I'm from DC, but went to school in Philly for a bit. St. Louis is not actually a city basically.JLM268 wrote:Soooo I believe you've said you're from Philly, I'm from Philly and you mentioned that liking St. Louis has to do with where you're from. Feeling much better knowing I won't be the only one in the 25-30 bracket upon entering 1L. Also just thinking about doing law school at 20 or 21 and yeah, good on you young people for going for it. I'm sure you will do fine (what with your youthful exuberance and all) but I am super happy to be going into law school with a few years of WE. I think mostly it's the habit of regular work hours (8-6) that will help the most.

Get out of here, whippersnappers. Accepted recently, will be 31 if I attend.

I don't know about you, but I'm feelin' 22
I like to work Taylor Swift song lyrics in whenever possible, though I kinda hate her new stuff. I have to say the more I hang out ITT I like the idea of WUSTL a little more every day. Now...if I could just get an acceptance!

Haha. What really makes me feel old is that I was a junior in high school on 9/11/2001...some of my future classmates were in 3rd grade. Or how about the fact that 90's music is being played on classic rock stations, and classic rock is being played on oldies stations. The madness!LawsRUs wrote:^^ o i hope it comes for you soon
