The FR1 email went out on 1/23--there was a single acceptance reported on 2/12 and a large wave of acceptances on 2/14 followed by waitlists and dings on 2/18.

My condolences to those that have recently been dinged.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had information about Berkeley's optional matching scholarship essay. I intend to submit one in the coming weeks, but I've heard conflicting reports about how best to approach the question and have no idea if there is a preferred or standard length. Thanks in advance. And for those still waiting: may the odds be ever in your favor.

Aannnnddddd Already under review! Thoughts on what the turn around might be? I only had a small (~1-3 points) bump in LSAT.

They honestly probably forgot your file early on. They claim to average scores with minute differences.

You will probably get shifted in FR and receive a decision by mid-march like rest of FR2 wave.

Is the consensus to send a LOCI with a new LSAT? Got my Feb score yesterday, too, but I was sitting at "Received 12/24" until this morning when it shifted to UR.

Nope, no LOCI--just went straight to UR this morning (e-mail came at 8:40am). I had a Why Berkeley in my application already and had confirmed that they were waiting for the LSAT a few weeks ago, though. Sounds like I'll pocket it for the time being.

I dont have a new score to update, but just want to say more about why berkeley since its my top choice. Should I send a LOCI? Their jan tweet seems bit unfriendly to LOCIs in FR...Any thoughts?
