UR1: 11/19, UR2: 2/26, Waitlisted. And with that, my cycle is complete.

Re: Duke c/o 2016 Applicants Thread (2012-2013 Cycle)
I was waitlisted earlier in the cycle and am contemplating withdrawing but I have two questions first. 1) if we were not priority waitlisted does that mean that we are on a second tier list that will only be used after the priority list? 2) If so, does that make our chances of getting off the WL next to nothing? I am just looking to reduce the number of outstanding factors to consider and with 4 waitlists I would like to narrow it down.ssanonymous wrote:Sorry for all thing dings.

I think so. And it sounds like the non-priority waitlist is huge. I think I'm going to withdraw. No chance for aid, and I'd prefer to be in CA anyway.Rory19 wrote:I was waitlisted earlier in the cycle and am contemplating withdrawing but I have two questions first. 1) if we were not priority waitlisted does that mean that we are on a second tier list that will only be used after the priority list? 2) If so, does that make our chances of getting off the WL next to nothing? I'm going to give it a few days, but probably going to withdraw as well. It's not any skin off my back.ssanonymous wrote:Sorry for all thing dings.

Yikes!! How many people are going to get off this regular WL? Maybe 5?Rory19 wrote:I was waitlisted earlier in the cycle and am contemplating withdrawing but I have two questions first. 1) if we were not priority waitlisted does that mean that we are on a second tier list that will only be used after the priority list? 2) If so, does that make our chances of getting off the WL next to nothing? When I saw there was a lot of activity in this thread, I checked my status checker (still UR1 on 3/1) and came to this thread. Bloodbath sounds about right. Sorry guys.

UR2 today!
UR1 was 2/18. Does this mean a decision isn't far off? I saw that most people who got their decisions yesterday were UR2 on 2/26...is that kind of turnaround typical?
