how can you tell a ur2 from a ur1? it just says under review. will it change to something else and then back?

You have to obsessively check the dates and make note of them like the rest of us maniacs. I myself keep a spreadsheet on google docs with all my infos. As ph says though, NYU's dates apparently don't mean too much. For some other schools, UR dates are more strongly correlated with decisions and therefore are actually meaningful.

Anything to bring a sense of order to the process, amirite? I have a growing (hopefully!) purple column where I record the schools I've been admitted to (reason for picking purple is unrelated to NYU tho)

Well... last year first dings didn't go out until the 26th. So hopefully it means we're accepted, but it could be a waitlist or a denial, I suppose.

At this point I can't log on to the ASW (https://its.law.nyu.edu/admitted/login/ ... /index.cfm)

Looking at the decision graph, there is a small spike of admits in January so DLS now could be a good sign.

Best way to find out is if you have access to the ASW. could take a few hours to kick in though.

I was 11/6.... and the DLS could be bad news... trying not to get my hopes up yet...

But if it is good news, it clearly shows that the early UR doesn't matter... and if it's bad news, well, it's good news for you, I suppose.

I couldn't log in until the day after my status changed to DLS, so if you can't log in right now, or even today, I wouldn't worry too much.
