Huge soccer fan. La Liga: Barcelona. EPL: Arsenal. When they play (like this year) I'm Barcelona.

Sports wise, who ya got?
I like the Utah Jazz, Denver Broncos, and the Cards. I don't care about hockey, and I nominally support Real Salt Lake for soccer.
Phillies, Yankees, Eagles, NY Knicks, and I really enjoy college football...it'll be nice to see some ACC action live.
I've been spoiled by SEC football for the past 6 years. ACC football isn't gonna be able to feed my fix

ACC might not be great (except for VA Tech), but Notre Dame is playing Wake at home. I expect that weekend to be filled with nothing but tailgating.

Coming from the Big XII scene here. Administrative review since 2/20 and still no word... Take it this is a bad sign?
Can anyone shed some light. I'm practically bald at this point.

I'm jealous man. Having gone to school in Philly, I didn't have a football team so I adopted SEC football....My favorite teams have been Florida (I love Tebow and don't care what people say) and LSU, but I pretty much like all of them....I assume your a Gamecocks fan, I called that sleeper last year....they are really built to make a run in the East this season...I'd like to see them do it.gogamecocks wrote: I've been spoiled by SEC football for the past 6 years. As for ACC football, it is weak, but it will still be nice to see Florida State/Miami/Tech/UNC come in...they are all capable teams...it's still BCS football and at least it's not the Big East.

Phillies 2011 WS CHAMPS!!
On another note, coming from a Pennsylvania PSAC school, ACC athletics should be alot of fun to watch, I am excited for next years basketball season.

Re: Wake 2011
So many things to say:
Sounds like we will be doing a fantasy football league (which we will be too busy to check), tebow is my qb and I love/hate him, byu independent is king of football. You guys are all awesome, and I totally spaced on international soccer. Go Usa and Bayern Munich, and no hating on Man U.
Now, sad news, I got WLed to my top choice, byu, today. I wouldn't have to go into debt with them, but I am still giddy about balling with you guys. Can I get a hug?

I dont wanna change subject, and I love the sports talk, GO SOX! but is anyone else here deciding between Wake Forest and UNC? I'm a UNC undergrad but I'm leaning toward Wake cause I'm looking forward to a fresh setting. Anyone else deciding between the 2?

Re: Wake 2011
NFL: Miami Dolphins (secondarily the Colts, but I LOVE the 'Fins)
Futbol: Newcastle United
NBA: Indiana Pacers (rather apathetically since Reggie Miller stopped playing)
MLB: Chicago Cubs (my friends who are real Cubs fans [i.e. I didn't call in death threats to Steve Bartman] say I am not really a Cubs fan... but if you make me pick, I guess...)
College Sports: UNC & Purdue. Love the ACC (except Dook).
Golly, why can't any of the sports teams I like win?
