Re: USC 2011
Anyone have a sense of how long it will take for USC to offer scholly money after the Fin. Aid application is submitted? I really hope the admissions process is not indicative of the financial aid process...

Sorry, I can't answer your question... Still waiting to hear back. But amen at hoping it's a speedier process. Can I ask how soon after you were admitted did they send the financial aid forms? (I read they would be e-mailed upon admission). Thanks!nonprofit-prophet wrote:Anyone have a sense of how long it will take for USC to offer scholly money after the Fin. Aid application is submitted? Sorry to hijack this post, but I can answer your question. I was DF 2/7 and received the financial aid email which had a link to a form we're supposed to fill out on 2/11.santoinettea wrote:

FYI I spoke with a USC rep on Friday who said they were not going to even start looking at financial aid stuff until March.

Re: USC 2011
FWIW I'm an SC undergrad, and it's the same for UG financial aid (they don't release the info until after a certain date). But once they get the ball rolling, it all moves a lot faster. Don't know if it'll be the same for the law school, but that's been my experience with them.nonprofit-prophet wrote:aliasdancer wrote:FYI I spoke with a USC rep on Friday who said they were not going to even start looking at financial aid stuff until March.

Can anyone post pls? Thanks!
You'll need your USC ID number to sign in. It's the "Username" they gave you to login to the admitted students site.

Re: USC 2011
Thanks.
Did anyone else fill out the form that starts like this:
"Submit the Supplemental Form for Financial Aid if:
You are a graduate student for 2011-2012 applying for any type of student loans and/or work-study.
You are an undergraduate student for 2011-2012 applying for only a Federal Parent PLUS Loan or a private financing program.
Any previously submitted information has changed.
Note: You must be enrolled at least half-time to be considered for Federal Financial Aid.
Expected USC Graduation Date:
Indicate your expected USC graduation date for your current program of study. USC confers degrees only in May, August and December. Please select the next available month following your program's end date. "
Towards the end it asks enrollment and housing info
And I put enrolling full time, living in non usc housing.
I haven't COMMITTED to enrolling yet so it feels weird that I wrote enrolled.
Just called them about this but not sure if I did anything wrong..
Can anyone help? Thanks.

Re: USC 2011
It's just whether you'd expect to be enrolled full-time or part-time, and whether you'd expect to be in university housing or not. You're not committing to enroll or anything like that. They just need to know so they know what expected-budget to put together for you, which they need in order to determine grant and loan amounts.JJDancer wrote:Thanks.

Separate. IIRC somebody mentioned a page or more back that it takes them a while actually until they start sending out offers (unlike other schools that send them out either with, or soon after, the offer of admission).Puttanesca wrote:I believe it is separate.
