Same here! Congrats to everyone! And +1000000 to the snow falling in dc today... makes walking out of finals that much sweeter.
Yay! Another DC trooper! (Also an undergrad?)
Yes, yes. Never been to a Colonials' game. Ever. Where are you posted?
Georgetown's dorms (a freshman dorm, actually, because I'm an RA).

Luck you. At least anything (even on-campus) will be an upgrade next year. :)

Edited because I suck at quotes.

Ewwww. Lol I'm an RA too and was stuck in freshman dorms for two years. In retrospect, it was awful. Luckily, we have upperclassman apartments that still have RAs and I graciously accepted a move as a reward for 2 years in the trenches. Soundproofed walls make the job so much easier lol.

LOL, I actually LOVE my room. I have a 225 sq. ft. room, which is not that big, but it's good for a single. And I have a gorgeous view as described earlier in the thread, haha.
AreJay, I was an upperclassman RA last year; I opted to be an RA for freshmen this year because I like mentorship roles (don't tell the kids, but I sort of regret it now).

Yea that one freshman dorm does have an amazing view. I went to Gtown for a recruiting visit and stayed there. Unfortunately, they don't offer athletic scholarships so I had to go somewhere else but it was nice.

At what point did this thread become "DC kids going to Michigan take over entire thread and discuss when to have a happy hour"?

NYCer here. I'm down for a happy hour sometime. It's pretty cold, though, so hard to motivate myself to leave the apartment after work. I guess I could think of it as practice for Ann Arbor, though.

That's how I have been justifying every second spent out of doors the past week.

How big is the package? Is it small enough to fit in a little mailbox (big enough for magazines, rolled a little, but not much more)? I know mine was mailed on December 7th and it's still not here. I hate Georgetown's internal mail delivery system.

My apartment building has the type of mailbox I think you're referring to and my packet fit just fine. It's a 9 x 12 envelope, but a resourceful postman should be able to fold it. Don't worry, the materials won't be damaged!
