Edit: I guess she did say in the email that the Admissions Office is closed until the 4th. Wonder why she decided to admit me in the meantime?

+1, just got in via email. It is a little odd--she said in the email that because the Admissions Office is closed, she was sending an email acceptance even though she usually doesn't. But she doesn't explain why she's working.

Possible it's an automatic email, or else she's still working because of the apparent backlog? Sounds like the same one that was sent last Thursday.

There was a comment a little while ago that the recently admitted couldn't log in to the admitted students page. Could those just admitted confirm or deny?

For the new people, if you can today then they admitted you over the weekend--access seems to come the day after they make a decision. I was able to log in Friday, and people who were finding out via the admitted site before were giving the packet mailed dates as the day before they could log in. If that makes any sense.

Much as I hate to deliver big news by email, I decided that an exception needed to be made today. I just finished signing your offer letter—congratulations! And I feared the following scenario, given the time of year: the status checker would change to “decision” in two days, but your big offer package wouldn’t arrive for at least a week, and in the meantime, the Admissions Office would be closed until January 4 and there would be no way to check on whether the decision was a positive or negative one. Not a very festive turn of events. So even though I would prefer that the news be delivered to you in a more momentous way, an email is clearly in order.

We’d love to have you join us in Ann Arbor this coming fall. Congratulations again, and best wishes for a happy New Year—

yea - that note was a huge plus. she talked about my job in enough detail that i know she actually read my stuff, which is nice to know. oh, and the admitted students site suggests we gchat them with any questions. adorable.

11 weeks later and still not a decision. This does not bode well.

I keep thinking the same thing but it looks as if some people are still getting accepted who applied in September/Early October. It sure isn't great, but its far from a lost cause.
