Re: USC 2010!
I am DF 3/5 too! Definitely expecting a rejection. The good thing about this is that now I don't have to make the difficult decision of whether or not I want to move. This is my last outstanding app so I am excited to commit to a school!
Complete: Sometime in late November
IR: 1/11, 1/22 & 2/22
Numbers: 3.7/164

Re: USC 2010!
Week 14 of "complete"-ness. Seriously USC? At this point I don't even want you anymore, I just want closure. My application fee deserves an answer, damn it!

Re: USC 2010!
Got a nice folder today with more materials about admissions . . . but still no info on scholarships. Makes sense, since I only submitted financial aid info last weekend, but has anyone else heard about money yet (other than Rothman ppl)?

Still complete since 9/28. USC is a long shot and I don't hold much hope, but I've had a better than expected cycle and would like some closure.

Hey, me too! Did you also not even get the status checker until late December? It's been awesome.philosoraptor wrote:Still complete 10/22. Admissions office FAIL. I want my $75 back.

Re: USC 2010!
Yeah, it came pretty late, but IIRC they didn't set it up until late. At least we've got people like JOThompson around to remind us that it could be worse.Lermontov wrote:Hey, me too! Did Rothman people get money? And no I haven't heard anything either. Really hope they hit us with their $ offer soon, because some SIR deadlines are coming up.roundabout wrote:Got a nice folder today with more materials about admissions . . . but still no info on scholarships. Re: USC 2010!
how long have you folks been waiting again?
As of today, I'm 106 days in..approximately 15 weeks since being complete. and in review for the last 6 weeks.
I'm not too worried that this last decision will impact my plans any because I'm on hold or waitlisted everywhere I'd really like to go, but it certainly does seem unreasonably long to wait (even if this is the standard wait time) for someone else who has really good options. My best guess would be that this is exactly why I'm still waiting, but if some of you with really great options are too...then maybe not.

I sent in my application the first week of December, then didn't go complete until a month later. I've been in review since 1/22.unknownscholar wrote:how long have you folks been waiting again?

Anyone else notice the gaping hole in the upper 166s on LSN? Spiderlegs appears to be the only one who has heard one way or the other!
EDIT: In addition to two URM candidates, those are the only 166s to have heard back ><

I'm still complete as of 11/1 (I submitted earlier, but because of their dumb fee waiver thing where you have to send it into the school, I was not complete until 11/1). Got the Rothman invite.unknownscholar wrote:how long have you folks been waiting again?

I sent USC an email at the beginning of Feb. re: the status of my application. They never replied. I sent them another email 2 weeks later and they replied that they have 6500 applications and the decision process is lengthy and they hope to have all decisions by early April (apparently, even if you applied in October). What a joke.

Re: USC 2010!
if it's THAT lengthy, maybe they should request interviews. There's only so much you can infer from a few sheets of paper and some numbers. a 10 minute initial impression could do the trick.

Re: USC 2010!
I honestly wouldn't be that upset if I was under review for months on end, b/c at least then I'd know I was being considered. To be "complete" since November without anyone so much as glancing at my application (esp when I have what I thought were competitive numbers and excellent softs) is just a slap in the face. I was really excited about USC when I applied, but this whole process has turned me off so much.

If the career services departments at a lot of these universities work anything like their admissions departments...I'm scared.

Re: USC 2010!
hmm.. this is interesting. I wouldn't consider it a slap in the face unless you think they pick up a batch for review based on interest in the app, and not simply because they're picking up a random batch. They may be quite impressed when they do pick yours up.danidancer wrote:I honestly wouldn't be that upset if I was under review for months on end, b/c at least then I'd know I was being considered. I guess it's all in how you look at it.
I just think the consideration process, or whatever it is, could be made more efficient. Maybe they should manage their time better. If this were the LSAT, they'd be 34 minutes into game 1. Yikes.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
