Regular Decision. It had a letter from the Dean and the NYU magazine.

NYU is being weird and unpredictable this cycle. I wouldn't worry about it yet. At least i'm not, and I applied way early.

Sent in my app late (or so I thought) on 12/03/2009. Got the purple envelope postmarked 12/21/09 with the acceptance...excited

Has anyone applied for the public interest scholarships? If the 3rd rec letter comes in late (after Jan 1), will that disqualify me?

I've heard that the January 1 date is flexible (within reason) for recs, but I don't know for sure.

The avatar trick worked beautifully for me in the cases of HLS and SLS, so hopefully it will work for you too. HLS delivered a week after I added my first image, SLS a few days after I changed to the second image. Recently, I changed again to a third image...

Change it a short while after you get into somewhere that you want, if there is still somewhere else that you want too!

Yeah, the purple envelope always comes first. There was about a two or three week period between those mailings for me. I'm guessing that you got in in early December. It sounds like yours got lost in the shuffle. But, the important part is that you are IN. Congrats.

Does anyone know whether it's true that NYU averages multiple LSAT scores?

I've seen people say that's the case on here, but I can't find confirmation on the NYU Web site..

I have 164 -> 173. Are they going to split the difference and treat me like a 168-169?
