Definitely be able to answer why georgetown and why law. I was also asked about any experience of adversity in college and how it shaped me, traits that make me a good candidate for being a lawyer, and what I can contribute to the school. My impression was that they just wanted to know you better. Just be honest in your answers and be bright! Btw, mine was alumni. Meanwhile, I'm stilling waiting for my decision, haha
Ok thanks. Was wondering about group interviews rather than alumni. Also, my interview is on Monday and I haven't received any details. Worried...
I guess giving even minimal info about the group interviews is taboo :(

I got confirmation of the details of mine (time/place) only a day or two before the interview so as long as you get notification today I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Good luck!

Oh my god, just got into Georgetown via ASW. Applied in mid January via early decision. Thanks to everyone who helped me in this thread, and good luck to everyone else still waiting for their decisions or on the waitlist!

Just got the email saying I'm on the "preferred" wait list. 167/3.8x. Didn't write a "Why GULC," applied late December and interviewed mid January with an alum.

Disappointed because GULC was a top choice and I'm pretty sure that I won't get any money even if I do get accepted. Does anyone know the chances of getting off the "preferred" WL?

Idk if it should worry you too much. Other than UVA, I'm massively underperforming my numbers this cycle. It's much more likely that there's some sort of red flag in my application than T14s deciding they don't like our numbers

My interview went really well. The guy was really nice and it was really a nice conversation more than an interview. Very excited :D

Edit: Crap, I just posted this after two people that got put on hold. Now I feel like a bit of a douche. :\

Que pena, guy.
Pero tienes que seguir luchando. I'm rooting for you and if it doesn't work out, UVA is far from "settling".

No, not yet and I was admitted back in November. Has anyone else who missed the scholarship feeler emails in the first wave received them yet? I was waiting for them to send out another wave before emailing them first but I haven't gotten one yet :|

Feel free to email them basically requesting the feeler. They'll send it to you. I think first week of March is when they plan to release.

Preferred waitlisted here after being out on hold in late Jan.
Sucks because Georgetown is still a top choice and it'll be hard riding this out until the summer.
Anyone know the percentage of people who get off the PWL?

I'm so confused on how the schols work with Georgetown. I have to hit them up for info?

Also what exactly is this feeler? Like they ask you what it would take to go there? Do some people get straight up offers and some get the feeler?

I couldn't find info about it online either, and I'm also genuinely curious if they won't give you merit scholly if you don't get the feeler/don't request for one. It's frustrating because other T14 like Berk and UVA automatically consider you for merit.

As for me, I would be sending them an email about the feeler asap but I have only heard back for scholly from one other school (USC) which is not a good bargaining chip for GULC, so I am most likely going to have to wait before I request for a feeler email :/

Also, to mm2368, when you say they plan to release in the first week of March, do you mean scholarship info or the next feeler wave?

How would one go about requesting the feeler email? I was accepted after the initial wave, so wondering how to go about doing that...

Hey guys, I was invited for an alum interview and received an e-mail from the alum reaching out to me and asking for suitable times. I got this mail last wednesday evening. Within a few hours, I wrote back giving time windows suitable to me. However, I haven't received a reply yet. I am wondering whether I should write back asking her if she received my e-mail or not (am sure she has since I didnt get a mail saying e-mail bounced). What has been the general lead time for an alum to reply?

I have seen most people completing their interviews within 10 days of their invite. It's already been ten days for me and I am yet to schedule an interview.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
