No, I wasn't able to. Couldn't find their name on the list either. It was mentioned earlier but their website says the process doesn't open until late February, and to watch your HLS email for details.ypbravo wrote:Were you able to turn in need access for HLS? I can't find their name on the school list.voldypoo wrote:Turned mine in a few days ago! The Need Access App definitely took a fair amount of time, so if anyone hasn't started I'd definitely get on it.Li'l Sebastian wrote:Right?downbeat14 wrote:The one time it really pays off lolLi'l Sebastian wrote:Hurray for growing up dirt poor!downbeat14 wrote: Yep all very fair. For me getting max need aid from H was a superior outcome to other T14s for free, but it's completely defensible to disagree. Very few ppl get a lot of need aid tho.
I didn't apply to Y, partly bc I would have taken H anyways and hate New Haven (worked there briefly) with passion. Although I know a few HLS 1Ls that chose H over Y, that's definitely the minority and I've talked to a few ppl here who readily admit they would have preferred Y--esp if u know u want to clerk or academia or insert-unicorn-job-here it makes a lot of sense.
Oh hey for everyone else thinking about financial aid! Did you all already fill out your FASFA and Need Access Application? Some schools have deadlines for that by the first week of February.
Also just wanted to add on to the thank you's for downbeat14's post. It was very informative, and as a fellow "what if" wonderer, the post helped a lot. Hopefully one day I will be fortunate enough to make that kind of decision.
Also adding onto the good juju all around for everyone. May we all be blessed with JS1's and JS2's.

I'm thinking the good vibes are all over right now. I lost my keys in the park today, and a nice man found them and then found me. Clearly this is a sign that there's a JS1 and JS 2 for everybody this week!Li'l Sebastian wrote:Is anyone else super optimistic about what tomorrow brings?

So far this cycle it seems like it has just run from 3-4:30 Eastern time. I imagine that as the quantity and frequency of decisions increase, this will widen.Li'l Sebastian wrote:So the JS2 window is open for one more hour right?

There are no interview slots currently open. There isn't a way to check if you haven't received a JS1, but don't lose hope; they have been pretty quite the past week so I bet a storm of activity is on the horizon.meowmers wrote:any word on interview slots available? nothing open right now! I don't think you can check, I think its a unique link per applicant. I try to check a couple times a day (when I'm refreshing TLS looking for JS2s), so I'll post whenever I see them!meowmers wrote:any word on interview slots available? Tuesday is a big day for admissions, NYU seems to exclusively release decisions on Tuesdays and Columbia had its first wave last Tuesday. And last week didn't Harvey have a wave of js1s and 2s on Tuesday.QuentonCassidy wrote:TOMORROW IT IS! Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
No JS2s last week but the very first wave of JS2s back in dec came on a tuesday! A lot of the JS1 waves have been on Tuesdays (in the AM) so I get the feeling that a committee or review process occurs on Mondays. Therefore, JS1s and JS2s tomorrow, obviouslycdotson2 wrote:Tuesday is a big day for admissions, NYU seems to exclusively release decisions on Tuesdays and Columbia had its first wave last Tuesday. For people who were asking about financial aid- HLS isn't on Need Access. There's an HLS specific app, but you need the @jd19 email to be able to fill it out, and I'm pretty sure it won't open for another month. This is definitely a question for SFS, though, since idk if it's the same this cycle.
Good luck everyone still waiting! Crossing fingers!

Nah, I think they feed more off the hopes and dreams of prospective 0L's. I'd contribute mine, but I lost them in the snow over the weekend.Li'l Sebastian wrote:If we don't see movement by 4:30 this afternoon I'll start prepping the volcano for virgin sacrifices to appease the Harvard admissions gods.
