Any advice on how to get a JS1 from the WL, other than sending LOCI's?

As a fellow person waiting for a JS1, there's nothing we can do. In all honesty, get yourself hyped about whereever you'll be going otherwise because with the exception of a lucky few over the summer, it probably ain't happening for us.FlowBro wrote:Any advice on how to get a JS1 from the WL, other than sending LOCI's?
It's hard to not be disappointed, but it's all relative. Even going to a lower T14 put you in a better position than 95% of other law students.

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2013
Question:
When I got waitlisted I sent in the fact that I'm willing to wait till the first day at Columbia to go to Harvard. I had a KB1 and haven't done anything since.
Is there anything else that would be recommended to send in? An official LOCI? Past work? (I had a play selected to be presented for my school that I wrote as part of a class...) A really tasty pie?

I make amazing homemade ice cream. Wanna send our goodies together? Teaming up might be a strategy they are not used to and would appreciate...PrentissJames wrote:Question:

Homemade apple pie with a scoop of homemade vanilla bean ice cream might seriously have some impact.Aussiebum wrote:I make amazing homemade ice cream. Wanna send our goodies together? Teaming up might be a strategy they are not used to and would appreciate...PrentissJames wrote:Question:

JS1b!!!!!!!!!! Still in shock! (Within the last hour) Same agenda as others reported (Assessing interest in accepting an offer). Call lasted about 2 min.
JS1 (mid-April) ---> WL (April 22) ---> JS1b
P.S. So glad I have something to contribute to the speculative effort.

Looks like the js1b's continue today. Starting earlier than before. Maybe that means there is a lot to do today.

What's protocol if you miss a JB1b? Do you fervently call back swearing allegiance or do you get in anyway?

You want to visit between your JS1b and JS2?khaleesi wrote:JS1b yesterday.
Anyone know the timeline they expect you to accept/deposit if offered? Is a visit even an option this late in the game?

Obviously! You are the guest of honor. I am only hosting it at Columbia because that is where I plan on attending, but everyone that has gone through the pain of this thread is very welcome!Lavitz wrote:Not going to Columbia but I'll be in the area.
