Not really, the last calls were made on a friday but I am probably wrong in thinking that they follow a strict schedule..

Ahhh I hope there's another wave of acceptances soon, and I hope I'm in it. People with lower numbers and later submit dates than I have already gotten in, and I want to stop worrying that there was something super wrong with my application.

Send things to the moreinfo email address.

Also, people don't generally send Why X's to T6 schools with their original applications, but they can be used as letters of continuing interest. If I were you guys, I'd probably wait a little while.

PSA: Updates don't mean anything. I've been in their office. It's not some complex though-out system for an easy 7-step review process where dates correlate to acceptance/denial/waitlist. It is literally several piles of papers lying on the floor. When they look at your application, they update so that they can tell whether they've looked at it.

Does NYU treat January 1st as a strict deadline for the scholarship essays, or is there a chance they'll consider late submitters too if necessary?

ETA: This is the language: "Applicants who wish to be considered for the following School of Law's Scholarship Programs must complete their application by January 1 and must have a complete law school report ready to be requested by the Office of Admissions no later than January 1" ---seems pretty strict.

Thanks! I just called to see if I could get a sense of the deadline and they said they would make an effort to squeeze me in with the rest of the scholarship essays, but since it was after the deadline, they couldn't guarantee that it would be considered. At least it's nice to know that it's not a hard cut-off.

UR2 refers to a change in the status date. So mine initially went under review on 1/7, but today the date changed to 1/9, so that's UR2. But as we've heard, the date changes don't really mean anything.
