Re: Fordham c/o 2015/16 (2011-2012 Cycle)
i broke down and called yesterday and they told me that if you havent heard back yet that your file is still in review. this made me feel better but on the other hand now we have no timeline. I though for sure they would let everyone who applied on time know by the first deposit deadline...guess we will just have to be even more patient than we already have been. ps. i have been complete since 3/1

Re: Fordham c/o 2015/16 (2011-2012 Cycle)
Good to know! Thanks. That puts me a little more at ease. I was mainly concerned because I only have had one complete, and from what I've gathered most people get three or so "completes" before hearing anything. I've already put a deposit in elsewhere but I'm still holding out to see what Fordham says. Good luck to youCLW8131 wrote:i broke down and called yesterday and they told me that if you havent heard back yet that your file is still in review. this made me feel better but on the other hand now we have no timeline. I dont think we'll get an email till 5:29pm. admissions probably wants to put off the frantic calls from WL kids for another day...

Re: Fordham c/o 2015/16 (2011-2012 Cycle)
Maybe its possible Fordham came up with a short list of WL candidates to offer before the first deposit came?? That way once the deposits were in they knew how many seats were open/acceptances to give to WL kids?!
Or is this me just over speculating?!?!?

i think it might mean those who applied first round and havent heard back yet i.e. regular decision. either way it sounds like mostly rejects.

I think you are right because it doesn't say "first round OF decisions"... just first round decsions so its probaly people who havent heard back yetCLW8131 wrote:i think it might mean those who applied first round and havent heard back yet i.e. regular decision. either way it sounds like mostly rejects.

think she means a lot of WL/Rejections are on the way soon. First round of waitlist decisions can be readily implied according to her previous tweet asking WL'ers to be ready for an update today. But hey - who knows. Oh and even though mostly rejections, "even some admits!"

Late submitter. 2/2
Just got my acceptance email. How long did it take to get FinAid? Cause I'd love Fordham but would have to go with Boston U with $ if Fordham doesn't deliver.
Fordham please deliver...
btw does anyone know if they will negotiate?

Heres the waitlist email...
Greetings from Fordham Law! The response to our initial offers of admission has been strong, but we do expect to make offers from our waitlist this year. We anticipate making a first round of offers in early May and will continue to keep you updated throughout the process.
If you have made alternate plans for the upcoming fall semester please let us know and we can withdraw you from continued consideration. Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this process.
Warmly,
Kathryn Espiritu
Director of Admissions

Seriously!
If they're going to start offering so early, that definitely means quite a few spots opened up. They're probably going to step it up to lock down deposits and students before WL are evaluated at diff schools

Re: Fordham c/o 2015/16 (2011-2012 Cycle)
Right on on wearing out the gmail account. I sell art online and get notifications via the gmail on my phone. My wife used to ask what I sold and now she looks at me and says, Fordham?????? With a raised eyebrow.... It is hard to admit getting a notification that I sold a $400 canvas print is disappointing at the moment; and will be until I know.
And, since I read someone only found out they were rejected via the status checker I have to check THAT now at least three times a day too....
Anyway, I am going with the no news is good news but will go ahead and put my seat deposit down on the second choice if I don't hear soon....

As everyone in this thread probably knows, Fordham has already taken a smattering of people from the waitlist: http://fordham.lawschoolnumbers.com/app ... 1112/?&p=4rkh235 wrote:Heres the waitlist email...

Now, they're coming out and saying they will be going to it further, in early May.
Clearly, they have room in the class. Their insistence that they've got "deposits aplenty" and "strong deposits" seems like they doth protest too much.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
