I might be able to give you some hope--not a URM and I don't think my softs were too great. I did apply ED however, and I think that might have done the trick. Good luck!

Just got in today. Im really excited! I love their PT thing. I at least have a little peace of mind knowing I have a spot at a t10 this early in the decision process.

thanks! I didn't apply ED because of concerns of recieving student loans with the economy, but I wrote a Why Duke? and plan on following up once UR or WL'ed

Got waitlisted as of yesterday. I guess with a 164/3.87 I could be happy it wasn't a straight up denial (I applied PT). I'm trying to decide if I should wait until I start hearing back from other schools (BU, BC, Fordham, Emory, some safeties) to see their offers before sending a LOCI to Duke. I'm assuming if I am admitted I'll pay sticker (doubt they will offer me any money considering my numbers).

I put both merit and need (Ill take money any way I can get it). I'm not sure how seriously they would take parent's information for a grow'd up candidate.

I'm putting both. And I don't know why they want to know my parent's income given that I haven't been a dependent since 2002, but I will do so. What harm can it do?

On a separate note - what is the best way to get from DC to Durham? PM me if you want to split a zipcar...

Meh, TITCR. I haven't even gone UR and I'm substantially over both medians (though not in YP territory, esp. since I wrote a Why Duke).

Has Duke rejected applicants yet? I've been UR since 11/16 and fully expect to get dinged... I just wish they would get it over with.

I think the only rejections were ED folks, but I could be wrong. I'm in the same boat with you (expecting a ding anytime). That's why I was asking about any other status checkers updates.
