Same. I feel like they're debating whether to WL or ding me.rozes wrote:Over a month since my alumni interview. Anticipating the worst, but if so, sorta puzzled as to why they haven't let me know...

I'm a held applicant, and at this point I pretty much know I'm a WL/Ding. Expecting to hear this weekend since Monday is President's Day and office will be closed. I think they're gonna try to get out a lot of decisions before the weekend.
Getting accepted to Cornell and Michigan has kinda taken off some pressure, but I really like Georgetown and would love to attend.

Just sent in a very very very late application but I'm hopeful. My fiancé got into graduate school here so I told him I would apply. Fingers crossed.

Just I count myself out at this point? Have heard nothing since I sent my app in a month ago, not even an interview.

Not at all. Think they're very busy now. Remember Georgetown gets around 9,000 applications so it's pretty hard to get back to everyone quickly. Just be patient, if you're numbers are good you should be fine.Stylnator wrote:Just I count myself out at this point? Have heard nothing since I sent my app in a month ago, not even an interview.

I tried the ASW trick and it worked, I got a username and password emailed to me. Does this mean I am in? I am however unable to login to the portal with said username and password. Has this happened to anyone else?! Please help!

Wow I'm stunned by this. Being an international applicant with a 167, I didn't think I would make it to any T14 school!!! Thanks!Lifeshouldbehappy wrote:Yeah, you're in according to the guys who wrote before. Congrats!!JDrat wrote:I tried the ASW trick and it worked, I got a username and password emailed to me. Re: Georgetown Law School c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Would someone who has done the group interview mind elaborating a little bit about the format and types of questions?
I have looked at a number of pages on the thread, but I haven't found many details other than it's fun and that the dress isn't super formal.
I have never done any sort of group interview, so I'm a little confused as to how they work exactly.
Thank you!

Can someone explain what exactly the ASW trick is?

Go to ASW website, click on the "no password" link, then just type in your last name and email address. If you get a username and temporary password you're in.EWofNell wrote:Can someone explain what exactly the ASW trick is?

And if it doesn't work.. that could simply mean that no decision has been rendered yet, right? (Or it could mean a denial/WL)

Take heart-- I'm in the same boat! I'm a pretty unlikely admit, but I do genuinely think that they are just going through a lot of applications right now.StopLawying wrote:Not at all. Group interviews: reviewing prior applications. What else to expect?

Definitely be able to answer why georgetown and why law. I was also asked about any experience of adversity in college and how it shaped me, traits that make me a good candidate for being a lawyer, and what I can contribute to the school. My impression was that they just wanted to know you better. Just be honest in your answers and be bright! Btw, mine was alumni. Meanwhile, I'm stilling waiting for my decision, hahaZVBXRPL wrote:Group interviews: reviewing prior applications. What else to expect?

Ok thanks. Was wondering about group interviews rather than alumni. Also, my interview is on Monday and I haven't received any details. Sorry if this has been discussed, but do they solicit an interview, or do you have to request one like Northwestern?
