Toll is sent to everyone, Levy (and I think most others?) you have to be invited

Did some stalking in the c/o 2019 thread, and levy/Wilson decisions were made at the end of this week last year! Since everything is slow this year I checked that too, and invites only went out a week earlier--so fingers crossed that means if it's not this week, it will be next!

So levys are awarded without an interview then right? Just based on that one essay?

ahhh! I'm submitting my Wilson essay today. tbh, having a hard time writing it because there is no prompt other than "why should we choose you?" lol :P

Is everyone considered for Wilson or do you have to be invited to apply?

Kinda a silly question, but anyone else having trouble getting added to the admitted students FB group? I requested access a while ago with no success. Probably nothing super interesting in there, but I just want to stay engaged and aware.

Yeah, I tried to just sell myself like I would in an interview, I guess. Mine was probably too long (I'm wordy). Oh well, it's submitted now!

Just submitted mine too and similarly struggled. Not exactly sure what they're looking for but hopefully I gave it to them

Is there any hope for acceptance if I still haven't heard back? I went UR3 (didn't know this happened) on 2/23

Yup so did I. Anyone know what UR3 means for Penn? They're killing me softly over here.

Pretty much given up hope. I applied in early January and didn't even go UR until 2/7 and I'm still UR1

Darn, also waitlisted. It says they review their WL candidates in mid-May which is after the seat deposit deadlines of the only two schools to which I've been accepted. :\ A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. If the only schools to which I get accepted have seat deposit deadlines prior to Penn's final decision, it doesn't seem like it'd make sense to hold out and potentially risk not being able to attend anywhere this fall.

Not an expert but I think you can maybe deposit without withdrawing from waitlists elsewhere

WL by status checker (no email yet). UR2 on 2/23, just below both medians.

Very sorry to hear of the waitlists. You can, btw, deposit elsewhere while sitting on whichever waitlists you choose to sit on. If you are admitted off a waitlist, you typically can choose to forfeit the deposit to the first school and withdraw your acceptance of their offer and then deposit at the school that just admitted you.

Anyone out there who went UR2 on the 24th hear anything?

Really dejected right now, wanted Penn so badly and was just waitlisted. And the waitlist numbers look terrible, so there's very little shot I end up getting in.

But I'm gonna ride this out till the end, maybe visit the school next week and write a LOCI. Someone mentioned before that you can place a deposit down at another school and then forfeit it if you end up getting accepted. Does this apply to the first deposit only, or can you also withdraw after the second one? Is it unethical? I think the second deposits at some top 14's are in mid-May, and that's when Penn begins to evaluate waitlisted applicants. It'll suck having to ride this out until late in the summer, just wish I knew at this time where I'll be next year like most of you here. The stress never ends.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
