1st time poster here!

I applied mid/late Jan and went complete around 5 weeks ago. Is it too late in the cycle to receive an invitation to interview?

As of now, I'm not sure. I have to see what other schools are offering me still. I just wanna know if they've stopped inviting people to interview already. My understand is that Chicago interviews are similar to JS1s, in that the interview is a necessary but not sufficient condition for acceptance. So I'm starting to worry that I'm becoming decreasingly likely for admission there.

Can we get a poll on how much aid we would take at minimum to accept an offer from Chicago?

this degree could be yours for only 8,542 payments of 19.99! with free shipping and handling!! call today to express continued interest.

eta: I'd seriously consider sticker though.

I'd probably do Chicago at sticker because ultimately I want to end up in Chicago and none of my other offers make that easy.

Would have to break 100 for me. Not because I don't think the school is worth sticker necessarily, but just as a public interest person it doesn't make sense if I can go elsewhere for cheap.

You wouldn't be willing to count on the LRAP for PI?

I would rather not, but that's because of specific personal situations where I feel like I might need more flexibility - I think it would make sense to rely on it for many people, they do have a great program.

I got exactly what I thought I would, which isn't much. Chi is still a strong contender, but we will see if I can get this offer up.

Weighing in, last year I applied on the final day admissions were open, went complete sometime in May, got an interview in late May and was accepted a week later. There was radio silence from Chi until the interview request. They immediately matched my scholarship where I had had a seat deposit at the time. So: there is hope!

What was the range of school? T6, T14, T20?

Do they give decisions on days people go UR4 or should we expect next week?

No. I just contacted adcomms...interviews are not necessary for admit. In fact, they are only used if the committee wants to "get to know the applicant better" (direct quote). I think they're comparable to Columbia's process - borderline applicants/scholarship winners.

Ruby winners, feel free to chime in. Did you have an interview?
Wow that's really surprising! Everything on here has suggested that interviews are necessary. Can't remember anybody posting that they got in without one.
