I want to ask but I don't want to come off sounding stupid since I can't say I'm getting a better deal elsewhere
A) This question is probably more appropriate for the admitted students thread, http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 5#p9263665

B) From the Admitted Students website:

If you have concerns about your scholarship award:

We understand that financial considerations are often a significant factor for an admitted student in deciding which law school to attend. While we do not have a matching scholarship program, we are committed to mitigating financial concerns for those who are truly interested in studying law at UChicago and are happy to learn more about your circumstances. You may request a review of your financial aid package by emailing financialaid@law.uchicago.edu. We will send you a link to an electronic form where you can provide additional information about your situation, including other scholarship offers that you are seriously considering. We will review these requests in late April. Although we simply do not have the ability to adjust all scholarship awards, we are still very interested in discussing your situation and alleviating your concerns as best we can.

This was all I got last year; don't worry about it.

You're already accepted. The worst thing they can say is no. Put what you have on the table and hope for the best.

Guys, Im currently waitlisted. Im submitting my supplemental essay tonight. The email stated up to two pages, does anyone know if it is two double spaced or single spaced pages? I dont want to overload the admit committee and seem like I dont know how to follow directions. Thanks!

Two double spaced pages sounds better to me, although I don't know what their intention was. If you can get across all the info while taking up less of their time, I imagine that has to be a good thing.

So... It's a little late to be asking this question, but if I haven't interviewed by now can I just assume I'm waiting for them to decide whether I'm a deny or waitlist?

Same here. Do you know how they notify decisions?

Holy crap, my scholarship review bumped me from 75K to a Rubenstein! I already sent my school and housing deposits to Yale though...

I think the "what to expect" thread said that they simultaneously update your status checker and send an email for accepts and for waitlists- I'm not sure about denies though.

I imagine we'll get decisions by the end of this week- at least, it really doesn't seem like there are many more of us still waiting.

Wow!

I left a deposit at a few different schools! It happens, sometimes for a good reason. Congrats!

Either way, you have an incredibly good opportunity awaiting you. And wherever you go, you'll probably learn about the paradox of choice ;)
