A) This question is probably more appropriate for the admitted students thread, http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 5#p9263665liyorah wrote:Hey guys - how does one go about asking for more scholarship politely when they have nothing serious to bargain with? I was hoping Penn would give me a decent scholarship but they're dragging their heels about telling me and that's the second best ranked school I got into
I want to ask but I don't want to come off sounding stupid since I can't say I'm getting a better deal elsewhere
B) From the Admitted Students website:
If you have concerns about your scholarship award:
We understand that financial considerations are often a significant factor for an admitted student in deciding which law school to attend. While we do not have a matching scholarship program, we are committed to mitigating financial concerns for those who are truly interested in studying law at UChicago and are happy to learn more about your circumstances. You may request a review of your financial aid package by emailing financialaid@law.uchicago.edu. We will send you a link to an electronic form where you can provide additional information about your situation, including other scholarship offers that you are seriously considering. We will review these requests in late April. Although we simply do not have the ability to adjust all scholarship awards, we are still very interested in discussing your situation and alleviating your concerns as best we can.
