For those who got in off PR, did they call or email? Do you have a scholarship interview as well or?NoBladesNoBows wrote:Got in off of the PR list yesterday (repost from the Duke Reserve topic...not really sure which one we should use). It was really unexpected, and feels great. Complicates my decision a bit though!

Congrats to those off PR ! Well done!! Do you have the same deposit deadline as those admitted initially, which I think is this Friday Apr. 24 if I'm not mistaken.

On the priority reserve. Gonna ride it out and see what happens. Should people waitlisted or on PR fill send their fafsa info to Duke? I was under the impression schools only wanted it if you were admitted.
Edit: Congrats to those admitted!

PRed in the end of Feb, sent in LOCI at the end of March. I don't think it's ever too late to send one when it comes to Duke, they encourage this stuff.whatshisname wrote:To those that got accepted off the PR - did you guys submit LOCI?

I automatically FAFSAed & NeedAccessed all the schools I applied to. I figure they only look at this stuff if they admit you, otherwise it's no skin off their back. Better that they have this on hand so as to send you scholly info ASAP, imo.Traveller wrote:On the priority reserve. Gonna ride it out and see what happens. Nope, just says to start the scholarship app process. I guess maybe they give you a date once they send you an offer?usn26 wrote:It didn't say in the email?

You may want to call admissions tomorrow and clarify.neubreed wrote:Nope, just says to start the scholarship app process. I guess maybe they give you a date once they send you an offer?usn26 wrote:It didn't say in the email?

I'm visiting next week and have a priority reserve interview. Has anyone done one of these yet? How formal will it be?

Thanks! You'll be missed in Durham I'm sure, but I for one really appreciate the courtesy!NoBladesNoBows wrote:Withdrew. Hope it goes to someone in this thread!

ETA: Did you ever find out if there was a deadline to deposit for you late PR admits? Just curious.

Emailed Duke admissions, they said my deposit deadline is May 15th and the information will be included in the welcome packet they mailed. Was accepted on April 19th. Hope this helps!

Re: Duke Law c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 cycle)
Waitlisted earlier this week and am in the process of drafting a LOCI. If I never wrote a Why Duke, would it be best to incorporate all of that material into a longer LOCI or might it be best to write a separate Why Duke and attach it along with my LOCI ?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
