No travel stipends means no ASW for me.tuxedocat wrote:Anyone planning to attend ASW? I didn't visit before being accepted so I'm going to try to make it out.

Has anyone from the ED deferred pool that was supposed to hear by today (2/27) not received an email? And, if so, what does that mean?

I think it's actually good news (i.e. an acceptance) if you don't get an email! They apparently send admittances by snail mail, and waitlists/dings by email. Have you tried getting your login info? Some people find out they're admitted that way. Good luck!JanetYellen wrote:Has anyone from the ED deferred pool that was supposed to hear by today (2/27) not received an email? Managed to generate login info! It doesn't work but getting the email means I'm in, right? Not letting myself actually be happy about this until I confirm.
Complete mid-January and group interview early this week, btw. PM for anything.

Okay great, thanks! My login still does not work... I guess I'll just have to wait longer to find out.rnoodles22 wrote:I think it's actually good news (i.e. an acceptance) if you don't get an email! In the same boat, told a decision by 2/27 and haven't heard anything. My notice actually says "decision will be made by 2/27"...wonder if that's different than when the decision is communicated?

This has by far been my favorite acceptance experience so far, exactly because of that.whatshisname wrote:Just got my acceptance letter from Georgetown's dean, with a handwritten personal note!!!!

Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
hey all- first time using TLS... I applied ED on 1/29 and have yet to hear anything. I received a group interview request back in September and used the same link to try and register for a group interview coming up in (although I doubt I will get a spot, because it's probably full) any thoughts on what's going on? Should I reach out to the admissions office?

Are you a dude? Wear a suit. There's no such thing as "that guy" in terms of wearing a suit when it's regarding an admissions-related interview. Be it the White House or Wendys - wear a suit.Meursault wrote:Thanks Gray! I thought it may have been slightly less conventional to have it at the firm, and figured that implied nicer dress, but didn't want to be suit guy for no reason.Gray wrote:If it's at the firm itself and not in a more casual location, I think TCR is to do a little research on the firm's dresscode and go for that.Meursault wrote:I know I'm late to the ball on this front, but I've got an alumni interview this week. Unless in the instructions for the interview it describes the dress as something else (Columbia said business casual) go for the suit. Even if the interview is on Skype or something. No one is going to ding you for being overdressed.WhatCouldHaveBeen wrote:Are you a dude? Wear a suit. +1 I interviewed with an in-house lawyer and was probably the only person wearing a suit in the entire office. Didn't feel out of place at all and the interviewer even mentioned that I seemed really relaxed.JFO1833 wrote:Unless in the instructions for the interview it describes the dress as something else (Columbia said business casual) go for the suit.
