Just got an email saying I'm in, and that a "Black Box" is on the way. (Was sort of surprised to get an email; thought we had to wait to get a decision letter in the mail.)

Does anyone know if the "Black Box" contains scholarship info, or is just an acceptance letter and viewbook sort of stuff?

ETA: Nevermind, scholarship info attached to the email. $90K total (plus a one-time $5K award to do something over the 1L summer.. does everyone get that?).

Stupid question, for those of you who withdrew already, how did you withdraw? Did you email the admissions office? I don't see a place on their site to withdraw.

Withdrawing via email is the standard way to do so because then the school has a complete sentence written by you indicating your express desire to be taken out of their pool of admitted students. I have yet to see another school ask one to withdraw differently.

If they had an option on their admitted schools website to withdraw, I did that. No reason for an awkward email if other options are available.

You send them an email and about a week or so later you get a letter confirmation of the withdrawal.

Has anyone been offered one of the name scholarships that provide full tuition plus a 5k stipend? Or the Cheatham stipend that is 5k a year on top of your other awards? Just wondering if they've given those out yet.

Same as everyone else. May 1st. You need the paperwork to deposit, so you'll probably have to call and do it over the phone or something.

Seriously! This happened to me too. I got my letter Friday, and the decision mailed date still hasn't changed. Unfortunately, I will not be riding it out though. I went complete 1/11/13
