Hmm, I sent around the same time 1/8 with an update 1/22. I'd think I'm borderline (3.42/172) so I'm not terribly sure how to take no interview request. Nothin I can do now, I suppose.steakandchicken wrote:Sent 1/7, Complete 1/8, only update was today 1/29JUburton wrote:When did you all apply, etc?

How large was the sample for this?bananasplit19 wrote:Any chance you could point me to where that stat is posted? Good luck everyone!

What should one do if their interviewer asks for a copy of their LSAT scores, their transcript, their application to the law school, a detailed resume, and a writing sample.chipchip wrote:Feel free to contact admissions. I'm an alumni interviewer; GULC provides us with contact information (email/phone) and asks us to contact you within a few days. Obviously, with the holidays things are not as fluid, but still, you should have heard back by now. It's not your fault the alumnus is late. For those wondering, we're not given any other information about you from the school. They have us request your resume (LSAT redacted), and that's it. So no alumni interviewer would have any reason to ask you about C/F --- that's between you and GULC alone if anything. The whole point is for us to get more of a sense of you as a person and what your interest in Georgetown is.Two weeks and still no further contact regarding the alumni interview that was extended to me. Emailing time or should I just wait until after New Year's? Do the alumni always contact you by email?
As a suggestion, please avoid stock answers, try and be as specific as possible, and make it clear that you've done more research than our T-14 ranking, job placement, and location. Know about available programs, organizations, professors, clinics, etc. that may be of direct interest to you, and try and articulate why that's so. We know that if you're competitive enough for GULC, you're likely going to get offers at other peer schools and are an intelligent person, but I'm less inclined to recommend someone for admission who really just views GULC as a checkmark in the admissions cycle rather than someone who is enthusiastic about the law school and what it offers (which, of course, includes the location).
Just my two cents.
I just feel a little uncomfortable and I am not sure the best way to go about this...

I just had mine! My interviewer was mainly just attempting to sell Georgetown and give me tips for succeeding in law school. Good luck! Don't stress too much.sc-123 wrote:I have an alumni interview tomorrow... any tips? Best practices? Thanks in advance, and congrats to everyone who has already gotten their good news.

Hey Folks,
Anyone on the "Held" list from non-ED at Georgetown seeing any movement? Nothing over here yet.

Is there a hard rule for updates after an interview before decision?

Nothing. I was "held" on 11/27 and was promised a decision before 2/28. Of course, that includes the possibility of being waitlisted too.SGrant723 wrote:Hey Folks,

Wait, did this happen or is it a hypothetical? The interviewers are specifically instructed not to ask about GPA or LSAT and they are supposed to ask for a resume with that info redacted. The purpose is to get a sense of your interpersonal skills, not your numbers.legallyblonde1893 wrote:What should one do if their interviewer asks for a copy of their LSAT scores, their transcript, their application to the law school, a detailed resume, and a writing sample.chipchip wrote:Feel free to contact admissions. I think they're playing their cards really close to the vest until they get more applications. Even though it seems late to those of us who applied in September-November, a lot of people still haven't applied, and a lot of stellar applicants haven't yet been accepted to YSH.

Interesting.... Although my interviewer did not ask for a transcript or my full application she flat out asked about my LSAT score and what my grades were like. I was forward with my LSAT and said my grades were decent with an upward trend as I matured.pedestrian wrote: Wait, did this happen or is it a hypothetical? Huh, well that sucks. It sounds like you handled it well though - I guess you can't stick out your tongue and say, "I don't have to tell you." After decisions and financial aid are all settled, you might want to politely mention this to someone in admissions, since I'm sure they would appreciate the feedback.WDH wrote:Interesting.... No that actually happened. The interview went fine, but I feel like he is judging me on information he isn't supposed to have.pedestrian wrote:Wait, did this happen or is it a hypothetical?
