The above post from az21833 is true, in general. However, reading through zdamico's posts in this thread and others, I think y'all are the ones being douche bags for ragging on him like that. It is completely unwarranted. I've been reading through his past posts AS WELL, and it is NOT clear that he has decided on Harvard.

So maybe y'all should just stfu if you're going to ignore the genuine concerns of others and just attack people because you're whining that you didn't get in everywhere you wanted.

TLS: where telling someone to enjoy their admission to Harvard Law School makes you a ragging douchebag.

I just don't like these kinds of conversations because it makes me feel less comfortable in the threads. The message I'm getting here is that if I want to lament the fact that I haven't gotten into Columbia/gotten a scholarship (which would definitely be a very tempting option for me), I have to look through all my previous posts and make sure I haven't loved any other schools too much on TLS.

So I'd like to suggest a solution: If you don't like somebody's post about where they got in or what money they received, ignore it and proceed to read other posts. TLS should be an environment where people can post their anxiety and frustrations, and receive help from their peers, without fear of starting arguments.

Again, we're confounding the difference between complaining/worrying/posting about not getting in or not getting in yet vs. expecting $. My suggestion would be to approach C with his HYS-whatever acceptances and go from there.

I am happy for him and completely understand his frustrations for Columbia's decision not living up to his expectations. With his numbers, I also would have expected money and been shocked at not receiving any as well. My point is there are ways to express that frustration which are still considerate of those of us on our knees praying Columbia will let us into its hallowed halls. "got NCE - wtf no hamilton???" is not one of them - particularly on decision day.

Ahahaha amazing. Let the record state that I do fully intend on going to Michigan's weekend though, since they graciously gave me money and I admit I have a soft spot for dat Hogwarts architecture. And their whole hipster law school image. Only time will tell.

I would just say that you'd like to verify that there is nothing else you need to submit. That will at least prompt them to look at your file and figure out what's missing/why it isn't complete. Three weeks is definitely longer than most people experienced (from what I've seen), so there's no shame in emailing.

I waited just a smidge longer than three weeks but then basically framed it like, "Can I provide anything else? I'm happy to!" They didn't respond but I got a 'complete' email that evening.
