I completely agree with this interpretation. I'm not expecting anything but the worst now. Oh well.cogitoergosum wrote:Definitely hoping for the best for everyone still waiting, but as I'm reading Espiritu's post, it looks like she's telegraphing that they won't be making a lot more offers (?). Generally speaking, I think more deposits = fewer new offers.
But by way of encouragement, even if this is correct, there may still be a good number who go on to enroll elsewhere!fltanglab wrote:I completely agree with this interpretation. Im thinking the same thing but it could also be good because why not just send the letter saying very limited wl spots instead of also posting something on twitter...seems like it would be pretty cruelfltanglab wrote:I completely agree with this interpretation. She said there would be an update tomorrow, so that could be the email follow-up to a twitter warning. I'm pretty sure the email tomorrow will be something like, we anticipate accepting x off the WL and we'll let you know by y.mcdeeremitch wrote:Im thinking the same thing but it could also be good because why not just send the letter saying very limited wl spots instead of also posting something on twitter...seems like it would be pretty cruelfltanglab wrote:I completely agree with this interpretation. Trying to stay positive. Plus when i spoke to an admissions officer she said this year all law schools have hit record highs in size of their WL which Fordham interprets is going to mean there will be a lot of movement all the way up until orientation

Thanks for that Jen! I was oozing hope at the beginning of the WL journey... and the wait has slowly chipped away at it. Trying to get back on the positivity track!JenDarby wrote:I am just going to throw out a bit of hope - I was accepted 5/16/11 off the WL. nygrrl who regularly posts was also accepted mid may off the WL.
Not everyone who deposits attends, so seats will continue to open up even if they do fill all available seats.

Yeah, I think this is right. There are lots of people talking about the potential impact the decrease in law school applicants could have upon this cycle (see this thread).ned wrote:For what it's worth, I think lots of WLs will be getting in, but not until May. I'm in at Fordham but wait listed at a couple of other schools that I'd probably attend if an offer is made. Those schools won't start looking at WLs until May. Then you'll see lots of movement here as the dominoes fall.
I know it's tough, I'm pulling my hair out too! I suggest any sort of 2-3 week long diversion you can really get into and stay away from the computer!

You applied VERY late, you shouldn't be too shocked that you haven't heard any news at this point.britts wrote:Ughhhh what does this all mean for those of us who haven't heard a peep from Fordham one way or the other?
I went complete on 3/13/12 and haven't heard anything since then, not even about the WL or anything. I'm so nervous.
I applied about seven or eight weeks ago. That is late, yes, but I don't think I'm wrong to have anticipated hearing something a little more substantial than just one "complete."Harlyn wrote:You applied VERY late, you shouldn't be too shocked that you haven't heard any news at this point.britts wrote:Ughhhh what does this all mean for those of us who haven't heard a peep from Fordham one way or the other?
