So I had my third update on 12/2. But I was just looking on the status checker and saw they had changed my address from my current to my permanent. I tried digging through the thread but didnt see anything. Good/bad?

Just heard from my alum and we'll be interviewing via skype. Anyone have any specific advice for this kind of interview?

Wash your face. Be fully clothed. Remove any offensive or risqué items in your webcam's field of view. Speak in complete sentences and make sure that your interviewer has finished speaking before you respond. (watch the delay).

i had a skype interview, too. one important thing is make sure your privacy settings are set so that anyone can call you (not just contacts).scottybared wrote:Just heard from my alum and we'll be interviewing via skype. Anyone have any specific advice for this kind of interview?

also, using Skype, preview your image that will be visible to the interviewer. Whatever you do, make sure your face is illuminated from above rather from below your chin (otherwise results in a goulish face). One last hint that may help is, about a minute befoe you do the interview, hyperventilate by breathing in and out into a bag 30-40 times,....... it may make you a bit dizzy, but you'll appear relaxed and mature.
Oh, yeah.... that first thing about washing your face...take it seriously......good luck.

I just read this from my friend's blog. She is also a Chinese student applying for a grad school in the US, not law school though.

Okay, kiddies...... it's game time again. Those of you who had their last (3rd or 4th) updates on 11/29 & 11/30 should be receiving your little envelopes today and tomorrow, especially if you live in the East coast.
Sound off once you receive them to confirm my estimate.
As for us 12/1'ers, I figure it's gonna be tomorrow or Wednesday. If you calculate different, tell me.
Good luck to us all.........

Got the interview email a week ago, and I haven't heard back yet. Is this normal? A symptom of them trying to find someone to interview me in my rural area?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I wouldn't worry about........... from what I've read on this blog 15-17 pages back, it's not unheard of for the interview to take up to 3 weeks after the interview request. FWIW, I live in a huge metropolitan/large market area and still haven't heard back either. I don't think it's worth being worried about, it's just annoying because it means we'll be hearing back much later than others with our same complete dates.franklyscarlet wrote:Got the interview email a week ago, and I haven't heard back yet. Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Had my interview last week with a really nice alum. He gave some very good honest advice about law school and the app process in general. He said not to wear a suit and that it was very casual, but we were meeting at his office so I dressed in black jeans and a blazer and I felt like it was completely appropriate. I'm extremely borderline in #s, so I'm hoping for some good news! FWIW, I'm in a major metro area. Good luck to all of you who are waiting to do your interviews!

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
pretty much everyone who got accepted had a 11/28 update right? Anyone after 11/28?
My 12/2 completion means nothing right? Only that my interview (from 11/30) is complete, correct?
