The fact that Mich has been accepting people with 164-166 LSATs non URM .. makes me love them even more.

That hesitation...the split-second after you click "submit" and before you see the red...when you're not sure if you are admitted or your internet is running slowly....that one shining glimmer of hope that lingers just before the realization that you are, again, not in to Michigan Law....
That moment is the only thing bringing me back.

Just let me in! US has me irrationally checking ASW every half hour or so even though my status checker has already been updated for the day.
Let me in Mich! It'll make this Saturday's retake a cakewalk when it comes to the nerves.

Do you think this is a good indication for reverse splitters in general this cycle (due to lower # of LSATs administered? Or does UM generally take these types in some non-zero capacity? 168/3.95/WE dude hoping for NYU ED. Prolly just wishful thinking..msblaw89 wrote:The fact that Mich has been accepting people with 164-166 LSATs non URM .. makes me love them even more.

Michigan has been taking regular and reverse splitters already this year. I think its just a sign of falling applications and schools realizing they're going to have to go below medians. This is the cycle to apply to law school, it seems.mattbarnes123 wrote:Do you think this is a good indication for reverse splitters in general this cycle (due to lower # of LSATs administered? Lucky us, but I'm going to wait until the end of the cycle and see where I get in before I gloat about getting lucky with my cycle.sanetruth wrote:Michigan has been taking regular and reverse splitters already this year. Michigan has always done this. Falling applications have nothing (or little) to do with it.sanetruth wrote:Michigan has been taking regular and reverse splitters already this year. I'm a splitter 1L and two of my best friends here are reverse splitters.

Sorry if this has been discussed I looked through the thread real quick but may have missed it....If your status is complete but the status date keeps updating does that mean anything at all? I know a lot of places say the date changing has nothing to do with decisions, and frankly I have zero chance of getting in at Michigan. But if the status updating means they've looked at my app and haven't yet auto rejected it, it would be a good sign for the rest of the cycle.

It doesn't mean anything (as has been said in the past couple pages). It updates everyday.benito wrote:Sorry if this has been discussed I looked through the thread real quick but may have missed it....If your status is complete but the status date keeps updating does that mean anything at all? I wouldn't read into it one way or another: it means absolutely nothing.benito wrote:Sorry if this has been discussed I looked through the thread real quick but may have missed it....If your status is complete but the status date keeps updating does that mean anything at all? I don't know. My grandfather has always called it "Big Blue" and he's not a stranger to AA. Maybe it's just an outdated thing?blowhard wrote:It's actually, "Let's Go Blue." although Dean Z probably wouldn't even notice.Cartman wrote:!!!!! I'm 3.31/169 RD. Gah! Wonder if I should have ED'D. My neighbor is one of the Asst. Coaches for the football team. We just had this convo at Thanksgiving. According to him, it has at least never officially been "Big Blue," people are just stupid. I'd think he'd know. It's the Big House. But the chant is Let's Go Blue or simply Go Blue.UnamSanctam wrote:I don't know. My grandfather has always called it "Big Blue" and he's not a stranger to AA. Anyone know how long Status Checker emails take? Sent my app 3 weeks ago and received my "received" confirmation email two weeks ago. Read the last ten or so pages but haven't seemed to determine a consensus.

Hm, fair enough. Big Blue doesn't work then.blowhard wrote:My neighbor is one of the Asst. Coaches for the football team. We just had this convo at Thanksgiving. I think if Hoke is wearing the color we can all agree Big Blue is appropriate.UnamSanctam wrote:Hm, fair enough. Big Blue doesn't work then.blowhard wrote:My neighbor is one of the Asst. But Blowhard is correct that the most common construction is Let's Go Blue or Go Blue. Other appropriate statements are "It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine!" (typically chanted after a win) or "Hail to the Victors!" (often shortened to "Hail!").
