For the record, I never argued that applications are down. I argued for total number applicants (in LSAC system) being down (but each may apply to more schools, so who knows if applications are down). I also argue for the overall numerical quality distribution being down. Each school may still see the same ole pool # wise as years past, but this pool may be made up of more sub-median applicants (reaches), and the higher numbered applicants may be in consideration at more schools. So the yield for the high numbers pool may decline, leaving more unfilled seats later.

Hey everyone, I've been checking this thread often but haven't posted yet.
How can you tell when you went complete? Or are we looking at the 'submitted for review' date? Not that it matters since I'll be checking my status incessantly regardless.

I don't think you can check when you went complete unless you were looking at your status checker prior to being "submitted for review". But "submitted for review" is the date people mainly are interested in. Best of luck to you.

Ah, thanks. In that case I'll probably come back to this thread to whine once early December applicants start to get DLS notices.

But we are not sure they are chronological.

they have been chronological on TLS and LSN so far.... I was SFR in Dec, so still not feeling safe.

True, we are not definitely sure. But all of the evidence seems to point that way (if I have not missed anything).

Grrrr. I keep checking LSN and I see updates of acceptances from SAMFORD, and I keep reading it as STANFORD upon first glance. :-\

I emailed a LOCI last friday and haven't gotten a confirmation yet. I wonder how long I should wait before I bother them with a phone call. I'm assuming that everyone sent theirs to the admissions email address?

Give it at least until next Monday. I'm sure they're really busy, and it seems that some people have to wait about a week to get a confirmation back.

Yup, I sent mine on Monday to the admissions email address. I echo the sentiment that they may be pretty swamped right now, with all the last-minute applications flooding in.

Just checked status checker....no DLS. I think this whole only updating if it is bad news is a good thing, because every day is a good day if I don't update.

I am 10/13. So while I am elated to have no DLS, as every day passes, my anxiety level is rising again due to the fact that the ultimate decision is getting closer all along anyway.

Although all schools are diplomatic in their rejections, I somehow find that Stanford sounds more compassionate than Harvard even on their rejections. Why do I feel such an irrational loyalty towards you Stanford...even whilst I read such horrid words???????
