I am a student at UNC Law. The admissions folks at UNC are actually very good at what they do and are very nice people. They take a long time because they are very thorough in reading applications and do not just admit people by their GPA and LSAT.

After speaking with friends at other law schools, I can tell you that UNC is something really special and if you get the opportunity to come here, you should take it. It has everything that is good about law school (brilliant and caring professors and a great group of students) and does not have a lot of the stuff that people hate about law school (rude professors and overcompetitive students). The job opportunities and career services staff are also excellent. I wouldn't say all of this if I didn't feel very passionately about UNC law. It is an amazing place to be and I don't want any of you to miss out because it takes them longer than other schools to go through the applications.

That's great, and if for some miraculous reason I get off UNC's waitlist I would definitely go; however, to have absolutely no updates/feedback whatsoever just blows. UIUC has done a fantastic job keeping its thousands of applicants posted...I guess I just wish all schools where like that. Sigh.

TYVM! UNC has been my #1 choice for the last 18 months, but I just knew I would NOT get accepted off of the WL.

For the last 3 weeks, I have been selling myself so hard on UGA (and against UNC) that I have to actually "think" about this decision, which would have been a no-brainer, just two weeks ago...

This is crazy talk.

How much is the UNC seat deposit #1 and when is the 2nd one due in the event they call and say "you're in"?

I assume they say you have 48 hours to get an envelope to them with a deposit of $X dollars?

Deposit #1 is $250....#2 is $100 and is due on June 16th I believe.

Got a waitlist email this weekend stating that they are now activating the waitlist. I completely lost my marbles when I saw an email from them. Hopefully there will be some decent movement on the waitlist these next 2 weeks.

I don't know if you are in the Carolina Law 2013 Facebook group but there are several people that have posted looking for a roomate.
