Jeeze, those are some similar numbers to mine being waitlisted. How did you find out about the waitlist?

A single tear rolled down my face for no apparant reason one day. Then I got home and noticed the waitlist letter sitting in my mailbox. At least thats how I would imagine it happening.

Thanks! [this will definitely out me to the adcomm, but...] I got a call around 3:00 PST, as I was on the metro and losing reception. Luckily Dean Schwartz took no offense after the call dropped and I called back

Does anyone know if merit aid is still going out? No mention in my "you're accepted" phone call, and my grant aid might cover books for one semester...am I out of luck? UCLA is at the top of my list, but not if I can't afford it.

I was also waitlisted, with a 171 and 3.75. This one definitely threw me for a loop. YP or did I just rub them the wrong direction?
