Waitlisted today. I should be SO happy to be waitlisted with my numbers, but I'm just sad. I had nine acceptances until today I got WL'd by Wake and BC. The worst part is BC sent it to my permanent address, so my mom had to read it to me.

I'm also curious about aid/scholarships, but it doesn't sound like anything's been released yet. They say that need-based will come out in March, but I think merit is (supposedly) before that.

So I'm looking through and it seems like people get acceptances through email, phone calls or snail mail only, and rejections/waitlists through snail mail only?

Is this correct in people's experiences?

I think the communications part is correct - seems like they do everything through snail mail, with a phone call or two for random acceptances. I got a phone call a few days after I got the mail.

Not sure on the DR, though. I was EA and people had DRs scattered through the first 2 weeks of December and we all got decisions mailed on the 15th.

Thanks. I know I've read this in the thread, but it's hard to really pay attention until its my own head on the chopping block. At least I don't have to obsess every time my inbox goes +1.

How long it should take, I think, depends on your distance from Boston (or Newton, I guess). Could be a couple days, could be more. Mine took two days, iirc, from DRto get to an address that was pretty close (though not in) Boston.

I sorta have to decide between BC or BU's accepted students day on 3/26. BC only has that one date. BU has 3/26 and 4/9 but I'm at GW on 4/9. So I get to see 2 of the 3, but I need to choose between BC or BU. I almost want to do some sort of half and half day if I could manage that.
