I haven't heard of anyone getting a PILS invite yet. Has anyone else?mm2368 wrote:Starting to think, as mentioned above, that we're screwed for the PILS.
My understanding per the website was that some of us would be invited to submit an essay and then interviews would take place in March.
Is it the case that they just email people and auto-request an interview without some sort of additional application material? I know they changed the PILs program this year so I really don't know what to think.

I went complete 12/22 and haven't heard anything at all. I'm URM between 25-median for both, so I'm kind of expecting a waitlist but it's frustrating not to have gotten an interview invite or anything.RParadela wrote:Anyone with good numbers for Gtown sitting without an interview invite? I've been complete since early Jan and am also waiting. Heard of group and alum interviews happening in my city but invited to neither. Numbers aren't good so I can't say I'm surprised.... but I wish that if they'd already taken a look and determined I'm so unlikely that I shouldn't interview they would go ahead and ding me. It's hard to get excited about the options I do have when I am holding out hope for GULC.brownbird wrote:I went complete 12/22 and haven't heard anything at all. FWIW some people have gotten in without interviewing. Pretty sure that's only if your numbers are exceptional, but if that's the case for you, maybe that's what's going on.

I've been complete at Georgetown since the end of January (don't know the exact date, but maybe 1/30 or 1/31?) How long would it take to hear back about an interview, etc.? I've seen others who went complete at the same time already get interview requests, so I'm a bit nervous.

If you are invited to an alumni interview at their law firm, I presume you have to wear a full suit right?

when would be the best time to send in a LOCI and visit if you're waitlisted? asking for a friend.

Just had alumni interview. The interviewer is a very nice lady and we talked about my academic performance and my personal experience and she gave me a lot advice.

PILS Update. It looks like invites won't be coming out for a few weeks:
"Congratulations on your admission! We have a vibrant public interest community here at Georgetown, and we'd love to have you join it. The PILS Selection Committee will be working over the course of the next month to select students for application to PILS."

Did you inquire with them about this, or did you receive this email unprompted?daydreamerxoxo wrote:PILS Update. It looks like invites won't be coming out for a few weeks:

In any case, thanks for sharing. The "next month" means March and basically I'm going to die old waiting for them to contact us.

I emailed them to ask for a timeline. I got frustrated trying to speculate.mm2368 wrote:Did you inquire with them about this, or did you receive this email unprompted?daydreamerxoxo wrote:PILS Update. It looks like invites won't be coming out for a few weeks:

So does Georgetown notify you when your application gets held? My application has been complete since 12/21 and I interviewed with an alum 1/23. Since then I haven't heard anything on their end.

Yes, it takes a few days for the ID and PW to be activated after they're generated. This happened to me too.cys0823 wrote:I was able to get my ID and PW from the asw website two days ago but it's still not working... is this normal?

Over a month since my alumni interview. Anticipating the worst, but if so, sorta puzzled as to why they haven't let me know...

Yup! Got my acceptance letter today (interviewed exactly a week ago with one of the DC groups) so it's legit.chalala wrote:Yes, it takes a few days for the ID and PW to be activated after they're generated. OMG, OMG. ASW trick worked!!!!! I was an Early Decision applicant rolled over into the regular pool. Georgetown is my first choice. Part of me won't believe it until I get the letter in the mail.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
