I did it in my living room lol.

They're not gonna be focused on where you do it (as long as you don't have obscene stuff in the background); just make sure it's somewhere quiet with okay lighting.

I did it at work. I work at a law firm, so my background was a bookcase of law books. But I'm a bit of a suck up lol. Honestly as long it's not your messy bedroom, I think you're find. Just something clean and quiet.

With lots of schools starting to dwindle down with the acceptances, I'm starting to think that the longer it takes to hear back the more screwed I am. Anyone feeling the same?

Don't be too sure. I'd pretty much written NU off after sitting complete forever but they accepted me last week and I'm like 99.9% sure I'll be in Chicago this fall lol

My application has been complete and I had a date change on DLS, so I'm assuming they have all my materials and nothing's gotten lost

I would email. I applied mid-November, and emailed last week. Turns out there had been a clerical error with my application, and it hadn't been in the queue. A polite email might alert them to the same problem.

Thank you! I am a splitter too, and was waitlisted from the ED held, nearly 5 months after I applied!!

A general question if you don't mind answering in the post (I thought other people on the forum may be interested to know as well):

Do you still get any merit-aid/financial aid if you are admitted late? Would you still be able to negotiate scholarship?

I didn't get any aid. I've definitely seen other people get $$ off the wl in previous years threads and on lsn though, so it is possible I'm guessing . I'm not sure what the negotiation would look like for that- when they sent me a feeler email before I got admitted, they were clear that I wouldn't be getting any merit aid.

I am in a place where I have to choose between starting Michigan summer program or wait for my WL decisions. I am not getting much, if any, from Michigan so in the end it all comes to whether I will be receiving money from my waitlisted places if I ever get in.
