Since I've been UR2 since 1/7, I'm officially joining the #DLSNever Team, and to be honest, I'm getting pretty bored of waiting for my rejection/WL. NYU, please hurry up and break up with me so I can just move on.

It's honestly a pretty cruel way of doing admissions. A lot like a "screw you for applying, now wait 6 months for a rejection."

DLSnever since early December here. I have seen a lot of people discouraging LOCIs before an initial decision... However, I applied to NYU largely because of a dual degree option that very few schools have. I was already accepted to the other program. I am not sure if the Law School will be informed by the other school but I would like to make sure they know. Does anyone have any insight as to if they already know or how to inform them?

I think that is the kind of thing that's worth an update at least? Maybe not quite a full-blown LOCI, but something updating your file with your acceptance to the other program and that you're still very much interested/would attend if you got into the other half of the dual degree.

I've been "Application Under Review" since 2/11. Is this what you guys mean by UR1 or is app just not even worth the first pass? :?

Just got a ding from Uchicago. NYU is now last of 12 schools I applied to, and I applied a month and a half earlier to NYU than all others.

Plenty of acceptances and scholly offers, I just don't want to make a decision when there is still a school I haven't heard back from yet haha

Isn't there another law school in town with similar outcomes as NYU?

opportunity cost doesnt make sense unless its a top 10 school - decided against columbia for other reasons

Still, (1) there is certainly a second law school in NYC worth attending besides NYU (no not fordham of course) and (2) even if you don't actually want to any other school, getting in & getting aid elsewhere provides leverage for scholarship negotiations, which is good even if you are rich

I can't imagine a real reason for not at least applying for leverage. Tbh, I can't imagine having a real reason to go to NYU but not Columbia (assuming equal costs).

you are obviously overlooking school colors; just compare that bold purple to CLS's weak-ass baby blue

Not to mention, Columbia does sound similar to a TTT country.

Totally shocked. In @ NYU w mediocre stats and good softs, I guess. After a recent waitlist, this couldn't have come at a better time.
