I got my UR2 (Is that what we should be calling it?) as of today, first update since October.

Cville is far enough out of the way from where I am that I wouldn't want to go if Im just going to get WL or dinged, but it'd definitely be worth the trip so she could see one of my top choices if I was likely to be admitted.

I'm sure the answer is in the thread, sorry. Don't want to dig through 50 pages on my phone.
From reading posts on TLS, it seems quite rare to not be admitted if you were interviewed. I would ballpark that the acceptance rate for candidates who interview is at least 90%+ based on the anecdotes shared here. So if you did an interview, it is very likely that you will be admitted.
Alas, waitlisted. Good thing the gf wasn't up for the drive to Charlottesville. Hugely disappointing, as I was really gearing up to go to UVA. At least my decision is easier now.
Waitlisted after an interview today as well (despite getting the feeling that it went well). I'm really disappointed. I wasn't expecting to be admitted prior to receiving the interview invitation, but it really got my hopes up.

Dinged via e-mail.

After six months of waiting I am just relieved to have it over with.

This. I also thought mine went well. I tried not to get my hopes up but I really started weighing my options with UVA in mind and felt pretty comfortable going to UVA. Maybe if I'd registered stronger interest :/

I was waitlisted on 3/10. Any idea how likely ones chances of getting off are? GPA right above the median and LSAT is well below the median  :)

I've been hearing this a lot. Not that I doubt it, but where does the info come from?
Lightworks wrote:I emailed the Financial Aid office, and got this as a response:

Well, so long UVA. It's been hugely disappointing.
Just one anecdote, but others have said similar things.
There seems to be some wiggle room with that email. I know each situation is different, but I would appreciate a pm from anyone that was successful (or unsuccessful) negotiating. I'll report back after I try as well. Thanks!

Notice the phrase "very many". If you have good numbers and can show a serious commitment to attend if offered a scholarship, then I think you have a chance. Reach out to them tomorrow.

Complete 1/13. My status checker used to say UR 1/13; it is now updated to UR 3/17.

Officially waitlisted via email. It's over! Will likely withdraw.

After nearly five months of waiting, I got the email with the decision I knew I'd get: waitlist. Does anyone know what supplemental material I should send them? Is a LOCI recommended?

Finally got that WL. Legitimately pleased that I can now check out of #radiosilencecrew! Will respond to their not-prompt decision by promptly withdrawing.

ETA: Above both 75ths, no Why UVA, no interview, 163 days since complete.

Also waitlisted.

Does anyone understand this sentence? Am I being dense or does it just make no sense:

"Since past normally is prologue, we will review thousands of applications this admissions cycle ..."

I was bewildered by that as well. No idea. The whole email was awkwardly worded.

I spent far too long staring at that and wondering if it had any meaning.

I just realized they're saying that they get thousands of excellent applications each cycle, so this year will be the same, etc. etc. What a strange way to say it! And a really roundabout way to get to the "waitlist". Whatever. Later, UVA.

Can you tell I'm bitter?
