Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
It's on the first page of the hold portfolio under "Guidelines"
Guidelines
Because these are optional, you may choose to respond to none, one, two, or all three questions. However, you may only submit one response to each question you choose to answer. You have the option to submit either a written response in essay format or a video response.
If you choose to submit a video response, please limit your response for each question to no longer than six minutes. You should begin the video by stating your name, LSAC ID number, and the essay question you will be answering.
If you choose to write a response, please limit your response for each question to 750 words. Your name and LSAC ID number should appear in the top right hand corner of the first page.

I've kind of given up on caring at this point. That said, it's a strong possibility. There are still a lot of "Pending" statuses in LSN.hearsay77 wrote:Its Tuesday. Can we hope for more decisions today?!

Ugh, I know what you mean. Even if there is a wave, I've been skipped in every single one so far, its tough to keep holding out. NW is still unfortunately one of my top choices. Yeah. I got held from ED, so there's no telling how much longer it will be for me. I went ahead and paid a seat deposit elsewhere. I'm not trying to hold out till mid March just to get waitlisted and have to accept another offer by April 1.hearsay77 wrote:Ugh, I know what you mean. I'm never checking that status checker again. I'll be (happily or otherwise) surprised by the email if, in fact, my file hasn't been lost behind the staff refrigerator.lane wrote:I'vehearsay77 wrote:Its Tuesday. Can we hope for more decisions today?!kind ofgiven up on caring at this point.

We seem to be in this together. I'm one of those pending statuses on LSN who would love to attend NU. Maybe one day I'll know.hearsay77 wrote:Ugh, I know what you mean. Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
I initially said I didn't intend to interview when I submitted my application because I applied a bit late and all of the slots were taken. I got an email today extending an invitation to interview, and they have a bunch of Tuesday slots open up, so I signed up for one.
Should I take this as a good sign or not read into it at all? Has this happened to anyone else?

Where did you find these these alleged slots?

I think there are only on-campus interview slots left. Right now, Thursday and Friday (Feb 26th and 27th) are green on the website.iVi wrote:Made a mad dash for the Skype calendar to snag a spot, but no dice.rae_mal wrote:I initially said I didn't intend to interview when I submitted my application because I applied a bit late and all of the slots were taken. I wasn't aware slots were ever filled for the in-person interviews.pineapple57 wrote:I think there are only on-campus interview slots left. Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
ED not included, any thoughts on where NU stands regarding scholly decisions? Looks like the vast majority of accepts do not have news yet. I understand there is a March 1 deadline for submitting Fin Aid/Application info (or within a week or so for applicants admitted after Mar 1). I wonder if those admitted before Mar 1 are a "priority" group for receiving scholarship money? That question becomes additionally interesting given admissions's announcement just a week ago that only 42% of applicants have received a response. I would think that statistic supports the belief that pre-March 1 admits are some kind of priority/"more toward the top of the wanted pile" group. That said, I'm sure there are infinite ways to read into all this....

there is probably something to this, though i doubt it's quite that simple. many applicants with very strong stats for NU were put on hold this cycle. conventional wisdom seems to hold that it was a YP move. i am guessing that those on hold with high stats who convince NU that they want to attend will end up getting some very strong scholarship offers.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
