I think the consensus is 2-3 weeks at this point in the cycle.

And consensus is still admit via mail and WL/ding via email right?

Yup. Don't forget about the admitted students website (ASW). I think people have been getting login information sent to their email at least a few days before they receive the actual letter.

I tried the admitted students password thing, and nearly choked on my bagel when it worked. There is no way I'm not in, right?

I was able to request a username/PW for the ASW 9 days after my interview. Letter came 4 days after that.

I got a couple of PMs about my dates. I don't mind posting them here. I went complete on 10/12, heard nothing for months (though I was invited to a group interview I couldn't do), and then was asked in late January to do an alumni interview. I eventually had that on 02/12 and then in today (the admitted student login trick didn't work yesterday, I know).

I don't know how much weight the interviews have, but mine went so well, I thought, I'm crediting it as making the difference.

I'm sure your 173/3.9 didn't hurt either :P
+1, it was a YP interview!

My LSDAS GPA is 3.1, though, which is, I'm led to believe, all that really matters. Regardless, this has been a brutal cycle, awash in WLs and replete with dings, so I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Yeah sadly the LSDAS GPA is the only GPA that counts. Splitters are having a rough-ish cycle all around, it would seem (lots of helds, reserves and waitlists). Or maybe that's just me....
Lot's of being patently ignored....

If you are still complete at NU right now ...
:) Boy, your indignation on my behalf makes me feel happy.

But I'm still complete there. :o If I'm not one of the "lots of decisions" apparently going out today..... I don't even know...

I applied ED. My application went complete January 27th. I haven't heard a single word from georgetown. I didn't get any waitlist/ding email last night which to be honest I expect a ding. My scores are not the greatest, but georgetown is my dream. I tried logging and couldn't get a login.

I am a URM and my softs I think is the only thing helping me in regards to georgetown.

Any advice or tips. I am kind of going crazy here. Is no news good news?

I'm guessing that if you're ED and it's been over three weeks, you could start considering how to politely call the office and ask for an update on the state of the admissions office, since they promised a decision within three weeks. Maybe it's a glitch, or maybe it's just that their office is overwhelmed and can't adhere to their own self-imposed deadline because it's been so crazy for them.

From this thread I've gathered that most (all?) ED applicants seem to wait 4-5 weeks until they get a decision; I would assume they're just really busy.

I am currently finishing up the fourth week. I was planning on waiting till the end of the fifth week because I did notice from the forum that ED applicants were waiting approximately five weeks for a decision. Which is a more appropriate way of communicating with the admissions committee, email or phone call?

Anyone planning to attend ASW? I didn't visit before being accepted so I'm going to try to make it out.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
