Were there any dings for any UR's from November?
Maybe were just in another pile?

(UR since 11/21 here, no FR)
Maybe they're testing our negotiating skills, waiting on a LOCI

Did anyone on FR receive a ding today, or was it just people who were not sent FR?

If Rejection Day 2013 is like Rejection Day 2012 there should be some non-FR acceptances. The rest of us will move on to FR2 or get randomly accepted of get randomly rejected. No telling what will happen to us.

Maybe they will straight up WL us without FR? Or maybe we are heading to FR2 with all the January people.

...do we think the dinging is done for the day?
UR since 12/6, no FR, no ding -- 3.6, 169, strong softs.

Almost certainly no FR people. They wait until mid-Feb for their fate.WhiteyCakes wrote:Did anyone on FR receive a ding today, or was it just people who were not sent FR?

I'm scared. Yeah, are rejection emails still churning in? Or is the coast clear? >_<

I am almost identical (same UR, nearly lsat and gpa twins). Wonder if this is a consistency for a reason....maybe we're in some non-FR pile of similar applicants?hattrick87 wrote:...do we think the dinging is done for the day?

I am very close to these numbers as well (though mediocre softs). They seem to be hanging on to some of the around medians/borderline applicants.CMHCLT wrote:I am almost identical (same UR, nearly lsat and gpa twins). This just doesn't make any sense. I'm more or less right at both medians, and with some WE/softs I shouldn't be an outright ding at this point - waiting on FR now.

Right at both medians= typically a death sentence at Cal. Not so at other schools but at Cal it is.TheShinySpoon wrote:This just doesn't make any sense. I'm more or less right at both medians, and with some WE/softs I shouldn't be an outright ding at this point - waiting on FR now.

I've evidently joined the ranks of the forgotten as well. 172/3.8. UR 12/6. Or maybe we're the unsullied, taught to feel no pain before we're delivered to our new masters.

I agree, but I've gotten two other T14 RD acceptances this cycle (non-GULC, non-Cornell) with below 25th LSAT numbers so my app can't be that bad.BigZuck wrote:Right at both medians= typically a death sentence at Cal. Dinged this morning by e-mail.

Numbers barely above yours in both categories. Looks like I'll be looking at a ding as well.insd wrote:Dinged this morning by e-mail.

With the huge drop in applicants, my guess is they're reassessing the pool and spending much longer on the decision process. If I recall, the bloodbath was much earlier in January last year?

It's just not the way it works at Cal. I had friends with 173 / 3.9 accepted to Harvard outright dinged at Berkeley.TheShinySpoon wrote:I agree, but I've gotten two other T14 RD acceptances this cycle (non-GULC, non-Cornell) with below 25th LSAT numbers so my app can't be that bad.BigZuck wrote:Right at both medians= typically a death sentence at Cal.
