Just e-mailed the admissions committee asking them to withdraw my application. 4 months of waiting is just too much for me.

Congrats to all the admits, though!

Considering you're already in at Yale, I don't blame you. Why wait around for anyone else?

How strange is it that you get into Yale this early but UVA keeps you waiting 4 months? What gives?

WL'ed, RD turned ED 3.5/171 in state. I got a few ideas on why I was waitlisted but I'll probably never know for sure.

My cycle has been straight up terrible. Time to redo my PS and send out some more.

Yeah. I went to a TTT undergrad in VA that isn't well regarded and I've been temping for awhile, which looks bad even though it pays decent and they keep me working. Maybe thats what did it. But thanks man, good luck next year.

I am still clueless about what my 1/4 update means. Are there any decisions from Virginia where the only notify you through snail mail?

Damn, that's harsh.

(Also, love your icon. Eccleston was the best, and from the looks of it won't lose that title anytime soon.)
If i get straight dinged from Penn I may try to ED at UVA. I am really hoping that some LSAT whores will give me some love.

(and yeah, he was awesome)

I'm not sure if you can switch to ED after you've been waitlisted, can you?

If they YP you, you would get in with an ED.

If we're thinking of the same person, they had changed their RD app to ED and sent it in, but got a WL before the school processed the ED app.

How is that the same thing?

A: Change to ED before you receive your decision, they take it into account.

B: Change to ED after you get your decision.
