Re: UVA c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I never got an official admission email or phone call, but I just received a dinner invite for accepted students in my area. I guess that means I'm in! Still a little wigged out by the radio silence regarding my acceptance. Has this happened to anyone else?

Status checker says admitted on 1/30 so I guess I'm officially accepted. Yay! Still kinda wish I received a more formal notification, c'est la vie.Keilz wrote:Just check your status checkermrgstephe wrote:I mean you could idk email the admissions office and see what's up?thatblondegirl wrote:I never got an official admission email or phone call, but I just received a dinner invite for accepted students in my area. i don't think it's normal to get an official email. My interviewer replied to my thank you note the day after my status checker changed to say welcome.thatblondegirl wrote:Status checker says admitted on 1/30 so I guess I'm officially accepted. Yay! Is not receiving any scholarship info in your acceptance package a bad sign?

Re: UVA c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Happened to me! I went complete 11/10, went UR1 11/14, UR2 12/16, and UR3 1/9 then accepted via status checker 1/10. No interview request and no formal email or package until about a week later... I definitely thought it was a mistake!thatblondegirl wrote:I never got an official admission email or phone call, but I just received a dinner invite for accepted students in my area. I finally got the tangible admissions packet in the mail and it was covered with notes and scribbles from the ladies I met at the NYC LSAC Forum and from my interviewer. I think that is so intensely charming. I hope they give me money now...

I did have an interview with Chris Colby on 1/25 but I feel better knowing there isn't a general protocol re acceptance notifications. I was seriously worried that the dinner invite was a mistake. I will now officially celebrate my admission to one of my top choice law schoolsmagdalena92 wrote:Happened to me! Same. Same date UR. Sent a few updates, still nothing. LSN gives me a 49 percent chance, so it's really hit or miss I guess.Chipotle85 wrote:UR1 since 11/7 haven't heard anything since.Baby Gaga wrote:I got a JS2 and I'm still UR1 since 11/10kiwi50 wrote:Same. Don't think so. The acceptance package says they start awarding scholarships in February, which only just began. I've been waiting since October when I was accepted.20172017 wrote:Is not receiving any scholarship info in your acceptance package a bad sign?

Anyone know when Dilly/other big scholly info might come out? I was accepted in November with numbers above both 75ths.
