People really need to learn to search the thread or at least ready back a few pages. Though, I'm too bored to not still answer repeat questions...better than working.Alive97 wrote:I wish I could be paid a dime every time someone asks a question that has already been answered in this thread.

It's almost like people don't want to scroll through 71 pages or something. Weird.Alive97 wrote:I wish I could be paid a dime every time someone asks a question that has already been answered in this thread.

If you don't want, you don't have to scroll through them all! There's a search function at the top, so you can look for keywords.Navyhornguy wrote:It's almost like people don't want to scroll through 71 pages or something. I know, I'm just stirring the pot. And I'm a repeat offender. Lol.nicola16 wrote:If you don't want, you don't have to scroll through them all! Honestly, sometimes I strike out with the search function so I just ask.

Is anyone else who interviewed in December still waiting to hear back? Slightly paranoid speculation: Getting YPed, Interview did not go as well as I thought, Interviewer hasn't turned in my feedback.

Was just put on the preferred waitlist. Interviewed 12/23. This sucks.

Does anyone know how long it takes LSAC to send an updated Academic transcript to law schools? Mine was processed yesterday...when I got waitlisted. Should I send them an email? I got my third 4.0 and went from 3.94 to 3.95...is that too insignificant?

I don't think it's too insignificant, but I think it would be best if you mention that in addition to sending them the LOCI.johnclaudio1010 wrote:Does anyone know how long it takes LSAC to send an updated Academic transcript to law schools? I would think it's insignificant, but certainly doesn't hurt to mention that you got another 4.0 if you send a LOCI.johnclaudio1010 wrote:Does anyone know how long it takes LSAC to send an updated Academic transcript to law schools? Sorry if it exists (I can't find it)... Does anyone know if there is a thread for "held" students for the C/O 19?

I created a thread called "Waitlist Oasis c/o 2019" a while back but it's for all schools.Law2511 wrote:Sorry if it exists (I can't find it)... Does anyone know if there is a thread for "held" students for the C/O 19?

If we all end up at Georgetown and we don't play this game I'm going to be sad all of the time.Timantha wrote:I vote Winds of Tremorrah because it's punishingly intricateBirdLawExpert wrote:Alright, how best to seal this best friendship: breakfast at JJ's or a rousing match of Cones of Dunshire?Leslieknopepawnee wrote:@birdlawexpert hey lets be best friends

What good is a law degree from Georgetown if we're incapable of recreating and playing Cones of Dunshire The Adventure Continues: Winds of Tremorrah. This appears to be a must.BirdLawExpert wrote:If we all end up at Georgetown and we don't play this game I'm going to be sad all of the time.Timantha wrote:I vote Winds of Tremorrah because it's punishingly intricateBirdLawExpert wrote:Alright, how best to seal this best friendship: breakfast at JJ's or a rousing match of Cones of Dunshire?Leslieknopepawnee wrote:@birdlawexpert hey lets be best friends

I'm a DC resident, and I got my 'in' letter Friday, a couple hours before Jonas started to pick up. I imagine the mail will be delayed quite a bit for the next few days, so I am super relieved.

Congrats! Baltimore resident here and I have to say, I hate Jonas. Had to grab an Uber for the 5 mile drive to work today, and my fare was $110lemoknope602 wrote:I'm a DC resident, and I got my 'in' letter Friday, a couple hours before Jonas started to pick up. Been complete since 11/30 but still have not heard anything, not even a "held" email. Should I send a LOCI or would that just be seen as annoying?

Please don't kill me if this has been discussed already but..
Does anyone have a theory on who gets interviews and when? I've been complete since the beginning of December >25 GPA and >>75 LSAT. I thought my chances were pretty good with Georgetown but I haven't heard anything. Has my window of opportunity for being asked to interview passed?

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I think its primarily based on geographic availability. For example, if there happens to be an alum in your surrounding area or a pre-determined group interview scheduled in a certain area. Though its always better to interview, I don't think there is a strong correlation between interview and acceptance. Don't read too much into not getting an interview. Also, keep in mind that your decision may be delayed because of the holidays and blizzard.justabanana wrote:Please don't kill me if this has been discussed already but..

Didn't get an interview...was accepted...the above response seems to be correct.lawlzi wrote:I think its primarily based on geographic availability. Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
My understanding is that a lot of borderline candidates are interviewed? My friend was interviewed and then waitlisted. I was not interviewed and I was accepted. In general it seems that the invitation is just a way for Georgetown to give borderline candidates a chance to prove themselves. I am not sure if your opportunity to interview has passed, but I would assume not. Considering the holidays, the recent storm, and also the fact that a December application in general might take longer because that is when many students submit their apps, I would not worry just yet.lawlzi wrote:I think its primarily based on geographic availability.
