Re: NYU c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Just learned I was admitted via phone call (10 minutes before my Skype interview with another T14)!!! I was so excited I think my interviewer was a little disturbed. Great strategy, NYU.

Accepted 1/6 as well!
When do people start hearing about scholarships offers? (not the named ones that require separate applications)

Has anyone who went UR on 12/22 hear back yet?
Also correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming that everyone's app who went UR on the same day are being read by the same person. Is that correct?

Either you are on hold, are going to be waitlisted, or are going to be dinged. Hopefully it's the hold!!!Duggiiee wrote:So... a 10/8 UR1 and no UR2 might be bad at this point, eh?

Re: NYU c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Recent applicant here -- applied after I received my Dec. LSAT score 3 days ago. Quick question:
NYU is my top choice, and since I am above both 75ths (3.9+, 172) I figured I would have a decent chance at a substantial scholarship (50%, I was hoping). However, after finishing up all my apps tonight, I decided to take a look at lsn and check out how NYU applicants faired with my numbers last year. Albeit a small sample size, it appears that people with my numbers very rarely get above 75k, with 30k-50k being the most common. Is this consistent with how NYU doles out merit-based aid or just an unrepresentative sample size? Can I really only expect 30k-50k of assistance in addition to NYC cost of living??? If so, this really dashes my hopes of going to NYU. I just don't think I could justify that much debt. Hope I am reading into this wrong.
Anyway, thanks in advance for the help.

From what I've read, they're pretty stingy unless you get one of the named scholarships.rfc180 wrote:Recent applicant here -- applied after I received my Dec. LSAT score 3 days ago. Quick question:
