Probably wouldn't hurt at this point. I'd say go for it if you feel it'd help.fhmx wrote:You are reasonable.Do you think it may help if a DLSNever sends LOCI now?nawi226 wrote:Like me, if you applied a long time ago and are still in early review, I am assuming that you have an LSAT or GPA that is relatively low for NYU. Correction: He's the associate dean of admissions. Sorry, I don't know anyone else and couldn't find much on the website. The person who called me about my acceptance was named melanie, fwiw.NoBladesNoBows wrote:He's not the one that I met with...do you happen to know the names of anyone else on the adcomm?jrc223 wrote:Dean of Admissions is Kenneth KleinrockNoBladesNoBows wrote:I was looking for this as well. Did anyone recently go UR3 on the status checker? Do we think that's a good sign or a bad sign? I just looked through the last 10-ish pages of the thread and it looks like most people are going DLS after hanging out at UR2. I'm operating under the assumption that I'm going to get WL at best, but any anecdotal data would be helpful!
ETA: Am now at UR 4. Seems like a bad omen.

Re: NYU c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
is it bad form to call admissions and ask about my application? i have competitive stats (LSAT 75th and GPA around 50th) and have been at UR1 for over 5 months now.
i'm toying with placing a call along the "is something missing in my application materials/has all been received" lines. thoughts?

It's probably best to send them an email and include your phone number. I did that back in December and received a call in response.sneezus wrote:is it bad form to call admissions and ask about my application? i have competitive stats (LSAT 75th and GPA around 50th) and have been at UR1 for over 5 months now.

I did that recently. Just got an email saying that I wasn't missing anything in my application, didn't say much, but was reassuring to be acknowledged lolsneezus wrote:is it bad form to call admissions and ask about my application? i have competitive stats (LSAT 75th and GPA around 50th) and have been at UR1 for over 5 months now.

Re: NYU c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
wanted everyones opinion - submitted mid January and went complete that day - havent seen any movement since then (around median for both - one just above, one just below). looking at LSN for last cycle it looks like there is really only 1 more week of acceptances, then rejections in the first week of april and waitlists mid-april. if rejected or WL do you not have any UR movement? anyone from previous cycles would be appreciated.

I just got UR2 -- first movement in months, so maybe they're circling back to older applications.drtygrty wrote:Did anyone recently go UR3 on the status checker? I got DLS today on my status checker and I could not log into ASW. What does this mean? Does WL/Rej come via email or mail?
Just able to change my password and log in!

ASW access usually takes a few hours after receiving DLS. I would keep trying if I were you.zhongxiaozhui wrote:I got DLS today on my status checker and I could not log into ASW. What does this mean? Does WL/Rej come via email or mail?
Also, I think WL/rejections are via email, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
