Like me, if you applied a long time ago and are still in early review, I am assuming that you have an LSAT or GPA that is relatively low for NYU. I'm at the 25th percentile for NYU's LSAT and applied in mid November with early decision, knowing it was a reach school. Have not received an update since 12/2. In all likelihood if you haven't received any update then you are on the waitlist/reject list, but they haven't sent many of these out yet.
You are reasonable.Do you think it may help if a DLSNever sends LOCI now?

Probably wouldn't hurt at this point. I'd say go for it if you feel it'd help.

Probably dumb question but I cannot find this on the website anywhere -
Who is Dean of admissions at NYU?

+2 with me. Applied early November: waiting ever since.

I was looking for this as well. NYU has their admissions committee on lock (probably to avoid annoying personal emails). If someone (who's in maybe?) could provide the names of the adcomm I would be extremely grateful. It's for the purposes of a LOCI, not a creepy/annoying personal email.
Dean of Admissions is Kenneth Kleinrock

He's not the one that I met with...do you happen to know the names of anyone else on the adcomm?
Correction: He's the associate dean of admissions. Sorry, I don't know anyone else and couldn't find much on the website. The person who called me about my acceptance was named melanie, fwiw.

Did anyone recently go UR3 on the status checker? Do we think that's a good sign or a bad sign? I just looked through the last 10-ish pages of the thread and it looks like most people are going DLS after hanging out at UR2. I'm operating under the assumption that I'm going to get WL at best, but any anecdotal data would be helpful!

ETA: Am now at UR 4. Seems like a bad omen.

is it bad form to call admissions and ask about my application? i have competitive stats (LSAT 75th and GPA around 50th) and have been at UR1 for over 5 months now.

i'm toying with placing a call along the "is something missing in my application materials/has all been received" lines. thoughts?

It's probably best to send them an email and include your phone number. I did that back in December and received a call in response.

I did that recently. Just got an email saying that I wasn't missing anything in my application, didn't say much, but was reassuring to be acknowledged lol

wanted everyones opinion - submitted mid January and went complete that day - havent seen any movement since then (around median for both - one just above, one just below). looking at LSN for last cycle it looks like there is really only 1 more week of acceptances, then rejections in the first week of april and waitlists mid-april. if rejected or WL do you not have any UR movement? anyone from previous cycles would be appreciated.

I just got UR2 -- first movement in months, so maybe they're circling back to older applications.

I got DLS today on my status checker and I could not log into ASW. What does this mean? Does WL/Rej come via email or mail?

Just able to change my password and log in! :D :D

ASW access usually takes a few hours after receiving DLS. I would keep trying if I were you.

Also, I think WL/rejections are via email, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
