Don't think anyone knows. I'm hopeful there's a chance, but I'm thinking HLS admissions may now be like Stanford in past years -- a few calls in mid-December, but the majority in January.

I think unlikely... office must be closed for the holidays or wrapping up their work to prepare for a long closure.

But it would be a nice Christmas gift for those who do receive the good news tho

To be fair, last year there was a decent wave the Monday of Christmas week (http://harvard.lawschoolnumbers.com/app ... t=decision, http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... start=3775)... but this year isn't last year.

Harvard Admissions just tweeted that they are closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 5 - so they are open today and tomorrow!

Last year there was a JS2 wave on December 23rd, and a JS1 wave on December 24th. I'm holding out hope we see some movement before Wednesday.

That makes a lot of sense. Hopefully they open up some interview slots during the day (because iirc there are none open currently) and send out emails this afternoon/tmrw afternoon.

I think earlier on in the cycle there was a JS1 wave where interview slots were reported around ~1pm and then JS1s went out around ~4pm the same day. So although the fact that there aren't any JS1 slots currently available isn't good news, it doesn't mean they can't open up during the day for JS1s this afternoon/tmrw.

Hmm i think it is actually. In that past, when I've emailed them, they've been very responsive.

That's the one... still no response 3 emails in. The third email was a follow up asking if they've received the two previous. I sent that a week ago, and still haven't heard back.

Is anybody else hoping that they've been saving most of their acceptances for the week of christmas?

Quick questions:

There aren't any JS1s scheduled for next week, right?

They've also never done JS2s on a weekend, right?

Last year there were JS2s on Sunday, March 9 (a buddy of mine was accepted that day).

I know that after JS1s are the faculty reviews - for those who receive JS1s but do not receive JS2s, would it be mostly due to poor performance during JS1 or not making thru the faculty review (ex. faculty does not agree with the admission committee's decision about the applicant's candidacy)

I actually asked KB this awhile back. She essentially said that it's rare for someone to talk themselves out of admission. So I guess the faculty review is where unlucky souls(seouless) go to die.

Didn't apply last year. Lsat was too low. This year I got a 178.
