JS2. Oh my god I can't believe this is actually happening. 8 months of waiting was so worth it.

So if the estimate is that TLS/LSN represents about 1/7 of the entire wait-listed pool, is it safe to say ruogly +-50 people have been admitted off the wait-list today?

Is there something I'm not understanding about why a 178/3.8 hasn't been admitted yet?

Including or not including today's jsb1s? Cuz were pretty sure those will become js2s tmrw.
What day will they stop giving out jsb1s? Should we lose hope on Friday? Or earlier

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2013
Hey ya'll sorry I was on a mountain all day with no internet but I got the call from JS at 3pm(eastern)!
Applied early Jan, JS1 on 3/21, WL 4/15, JS1-b yesterday.
Also I sent an LOCI right after I was WLed with a new job that I started (in production so completely non-law related) since it was pretty clear from my JS1 that being a K-JD and lack of full time WE was an issue. I think if you have a clear weakness that you can show improvement on definitely send an LOCI even if the update seems kind of mundane. Hope this helps future applicants and WLers!
Congrats to all fellow JS2s today and future JS2s tomorrow!

People keep pming me to ask if anyone has pmed me yet to report a JS1b that didn't get a JS2. It scares me just a tad every time I see "1 new message"...

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2013
Not including today's JS1B's. If you count those the total is up to 15. I think this is about the right time to lose hope. Especially if you look at stats from past years. I think tomorrow will be the end of the JS2 wave. After that I think chances drop dramatically... sigh.shakespeare wrote:Aussiebum wrote:So if the estimate is that TLS/LSN represents about 1/7 of the entire wait-listed pool, is it safe to say ruogly +-50 people have been admitted off the wait-list today?

lol I was just looking at the 2011 thread and there's a big JS2 wave one day and then the thread dies.Aussiebum wrote:Not including today's JS1B's. If you count those the total is up to 15. Re: Harvard Waitlist 2013
I think there might be another tiny wave of JS2s/JS1Bs tomorrow. But once the number of admits hits 20 or so I think it's a lost cause if one is not included. I wonder when they will send the rejection wave after that? I JUST WANT CLOSURE!helix23 wrote:lol I was just looking at the 2011 thread and there's a big JS2 wave one day and then the thread dies.Aussiebum wrote:Not including today's JS1B's. It's probably a combination of reasons which would be difficult to replicate. Interview, softs, undergrad, "passion", etc.t-14orbust wrote:Well, Lavitz? Not to put you on the spot or anything, but it's worrying me about my chances next year lol.
Besides, you're above both medians so I'm sure you'll be fine.

I thought all signs pointed to a larger WL js2 wave than in the past. Oh well. I agree with Aussie wanting some closure. It's a shame to leave so many people who were interviewed post WL hanging

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2013
Have any international students received a JS1b? or a JS2?
I was flat out asked in my JS1 interview if I was accepted to Harvard would I be coming?
Could this kinda sorta maybe be good like a JS1b?? haha sorry desperately hoping to hang on to sanity!!!
Congrats JS2s!!!!

I think he means initial JS2 wave. Because they interviewed a ton of people up front, there should be one large wave of JS2s instead of several smaller waves over a period of a few weeks.Aussiebum wrote:What signs? Just logged on today to see the movement - congrats to all the JS2s!! After getting to know a bunch of you over the past few months I can't stop checking this thread, and I've been pretty excitedly waiting for this. I hope to see plenty more tomorrow and into the next week, especially for my bros. Fingers crossed for you all and for many many more happy phone calls!

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2013
Two questions:
WL dings historically don't happen, do they?
Is there going to be a trickle or this week is it?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
